Card Game Tips from fans
Luxuries We Didn't Have
I got a message from a reader about my
budgeting/finance article that mentioned the idea of
being able to try out a card on websites like
Dueling Network before and see if we like them
before we decide to buy them.
This is something I really overlooked.
I didn't have this luxury back when I first
started playing.
Heck, we didn't even have this option in
2009.
But for people just starting now or getting back
into it after a long hiatus, this is great.
Who knows how much money I spent on playsets of
cards that I was so sure would be the "next big
thing" only to realize that they weren't as viable
as I had originally thought.
Well, we had "proxying" where we would cut an index
card in half, write the name of a card we didn't
have, stick it in front of a card in a card sleeve.
But DN lets us test against lots of different
people and decks to really see if that card is worth
using in real life.
In retail stores, we can try out clothes in fitting
rooms before we bought them.
Now we can do the same with cards.
