Hidden Armory ...

A nice spell card. Remember the good old days with Snatch Steal and Premature Burial ... those gems that were easy to forget actually fell into the category of Equip spell cards? Hidden Armory would have made sweel love to those two cards ... but alas ...
Regardless, Hidden Armory is perfect for decks that require equip spells. Gearfried, obviously. Ben Kei, if u so want to play it. The decks built around Power Tool Dragon and those little machines that came out in the previous booster ... So it definitely has its uses. What makes it better than simply decking the actual Equip Spell u want to use, is that u can pull any Equip you want from your deck or Graveyard. In 1 word? - Explosive. ... No, - Excellent. No, wait - Explosive. Yeah, i like Explosive better.

But still - only for decks that actually require a heavy amount of Equip spells. Only then is this a gem. Otherwise? - there's no point to it.

Traditional: 3/5
Advanced: 4/5 (but only for decks that need heavy equip support)

Hidden Armory.... does anyone have a knife? Seriously, I want to /wrists. They butchered the name, Arms Hole or Armory Hole would have been a much better name. Summoner Monk from Summon Priest wasn't a bad switch, this one is just horrible. But I guess we're not here to review the name of cards but their effects and how they do in the game and affect decks. Hidden Armory was a card in Japan that took them by storm. It was one of the few cards that helped them OTK. Have Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier on the field and Rescue Cat in grave, play Hidden Armory, grab Premature Burial from your deck, bring back Cat. Use Brionac to put Premature into your hand, tribute for Cat, and you can kinda see how this works. You keep using Brionac to return Premature Burial and keep using Premature Burial to reuse Rescue Cat over and over. Hidden Armory helpped speed this up. After Premature Burial was banned, Hidden Armory became popular again in Magical Explosion OTK. Being able to pull D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation and Divine Sword - Phoenix Blade from your deck was always helpful to recycle Kuraz the Light Monarch and to have it removed from play by Phoenix Blade. Hidden Armory will now probably find its way into Hopeless Dragon decks to pull Reincarnations from the deck or graveyard and well you probably know why they'd use DDR - Different Dimension Reincarnation in the deck. There are many ways to use it and im fairly sure Morphtronics, Ben Kei and Gemini decks will use Hidden Armory too.

Hidden Armory

Here we have Hidden Armory, Today's Card of the Day.

Send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard. Add 1 Equip Spell Card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. You cannot Normal Summon or Set the turn you activate this effect.

Up until now, getting an equip card from your deck or graveyard wouldn’t really be something to celebrate, especially when you are losing your normal summon for the turn. Well lucky for us this card was released with another card that actually worth searching for. That of course is Supervise. This isn’t a review for Supervise though. Overall this card is pretty balanced since it can reach both into the deck and the grave. I’ve seen a pretty strong Gigavise deck and this card is definitely worth its weight in that deck. The reality is though we really don’t have a lot of equips that see wide play. Plants abuse it with Supervise and mark of the rose and other decks gain access to DDR. Overall this card isn’t really too bad, but usually you don’t really want to run more than one. Great in Gigavise, ok in others, terrible if you are gonna search for sword of the deep seated.

Traditional 3/5 Advanced casual 3/5, Advanced competitive 3/5

Art: Very cool, I would like to see this card as a holo some day.

Sorry I didn't review Phoenix Gearfried yesterday I had a pretty crazy day. So today's review is Hidden Armory or Arms Hole. It's about time we got this card! This gives any deck that runs equips a huge boost. That's you powertool dragon. At the cost of your normal summon Hidden Armory grabs you any equip spell from your deck or grave and also mills your top card. This card is key when you need an equip card because it can grab it from everywhere. In the right deck this card is a beast but it isn't a big impact on the current metagame.

3.5/5 Advanced
