Aww, another cute, fuzzy wuzzy, rescue animal just in time for Christmas =) Rescue Rabbit has a LOT going for it, by itself, and in combo with other Rescue (and other) cards. Rescue Rabbit is a Level 4, Earth attribute, Beast type Monster, with 300 attack and 100 defense, all of which is mostly irrelevant. This has some swarm capability, has some OTK/FTK possibilities, (albeit more in a Traditional Format, but hindered a bit by not being able to be Special Summoned from the Deck.) can assist in XYZ and Synchro Summoning (and yes I'm aware this only pulls two Normal Monsters), but we have many a possibility here. You need a Deck constructed for Rescue Rabbit, to fully utilize this, yet ironically not necessarily around said Rabbit. I like it, and it's cute.

Let the fun begin. We finally get to look at a good card. Not a lot has to be said about a card that is so popular. You are ether playing it or playing against it most of the time because it fits so well in so many decks. It is a 2 for 1 that can Xyz into some great monsters and do some other great tricks.

The most popular decks playing Rescue Rabbit are Dino decks. Rabbit with Sabersaurus’ make Evolkaiser Raggia. But they are not the only decks that can make good use of the Rabbit. Gladiator Beast decks can use Rabbit with Gladiator Beast Andal to make a Rank 4 Xyz monster or for use with Test Tiger to make Bestiari and then Gyzarus. If you are playing X-Saber’s you can bring out 2 Anu Piranha to special summon Faultroll, Xyz summon, and then use Gottoms’ Emergency Call to bring them back. Use Rescue Rabbit to bring out 2 Alexandrite Dragons to special summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

Rescue Rabbit also works great along side Tour Guide From the Underworld. Tour Guides give you two dark monsters and Rescue Rabbit gives you 2 light monsters in Alexandrite Dragon, so Chaos decks flourish with both these monsters in the deck. With Tour Guide, you can Xyz summon Leviair and use its effect to special summon your banished Rescue Rabbit and then do the Rabbit dance again. There is great synergy between these two cards and the list of decks that Rescue Rabbit helps, goes on and on.

Rescue Rabbit

Beast/ Earth/ Lv 4/ 300 ATK/ 100 DEF

This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. You can banish this face-up card you control; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters with the same name from your Deck. Destroy them during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be activated once per turn.

Today we are looking at the money card from Photon Shockwave and the most sought after card today aside from Tour Guide. This card is primarily seen in Dino Rabbit decks using 3 Kabazauls and 3 Sabersaurus to go into Evolsaur Dolkka/Laggia.

The best thing about this card is that is very versatile in the respect of the XYZ selection. Dolkka/Laggia if you’re running dinosaurs, Utopia, Steelswarm Roach, or Wind-Up Zenmaister.

The only real downside to this card is that Bottomless Trap Hole wrecks the majority of what is usually searched out.

Pros: Once card XYZ, Vanilla Support, searchable via sangan and Gold Sarc.

Cons: High priced card and needs a deck built around it.

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone! :) Hope yours is a good one this year.

Well, it's a monster who loves to bring out normal monsters and does it surprisingly well despite his restricting against being special summoned from your deck, which means you can't search for him with Giant Rat. The ideal places for this guy are Level 4 Normal Monster beatdown decks and Gemini decks. Anywhere else and he just wouldn't be very useful. The sad part is that you can't keep the monsters special summoned on the field without special effort such as a pair of Book of moons, but deck thinning is always a good thing that there's also Normal monster specific revival cards to bring them back into your hand.

A useful card in certain decks, but not very useful elsewhere, limiting it's playability.

Traditional: 2
Advanced: 3 (4 in Lv. 4 Normal Monster and Gemini decks)

Today we have Rescue Rabbit

This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. You can banish this face-up card you control; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters with the same name from your Deck. Destroy them during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be activated once per turn.

This is a really good effect since we have the xyz monster now, if you remember rescue cat, this card is just as bad.
5/5
