Zoodiacs take over part of CoTD this week, starting with Zoodiac Drident.
 
Like all Zoodiac Xyz monsters, Drident doesn't require his listed requirements for Xyz Summon. The more Zoodiac materials attached, the more ATK and DEF it gets, but only needing one Zoodiac on the field to Xyz Summon is very useful, especially with its destruction effect. Trade an Xyz material once per turn to kill any card on the field is pretty good, especially when combining it with Zoodiac Barrage and setting in motion a major turn for you. This effect is during either turn, giving Drident self-protection once during your opponents turn. Not only that, but depending on what Zoodiac is attached, Drident will have added abilities: special summoning power, negation power, piercing or banishing abilities.
 
Drident often ends turn combos, sitting on the field with strong ATK, material(s) attached, alongside another two or more monsters.
