Dungeon Dice Masters Talk
Coming out of the Dungeon PT 1
by TheDungeonMaster
03.31.05

Hey, guys, this is my first Article for DDM. First off, let me tell you a little about my DDM carrier. I have been playing ever since it came out. I first saw it on YuGiOh, and then I saw the Starter Set, so I bought that. Ever since then, I really loved the game. Sadly, Mattel has stopped making the game, but I’m hoping it will come back. You see, there are more sets to come out. There are like 9 sets in all, and Mattel stopped at Series 4. So I’m hoping I can make them make more DDM.

Well, in this article, I’m going to talk about the Monsters in the game. My next Article will be about the Items in the game.

The Monsters, of course, are the battle pieces in the game, just like the actual monsters in YuGiOh. The have Attack, Defense, and HP points. When their HP reaches 0, they are destroyed. Some Monsters have special ability’s, like Thunder Ball. You have to use Magic Crests to use his ability, which he turns into a ball and goes until he hits a dead end, or a Monster/Item. The cool part about him is that he is not destroyed when he hits something.

There are also sweet combos in this game, and I’m going to tell you about my favorite one.

An interesting combo is Exodia, Feral Imp, and Winged Dragon Guardian of the Fortress #1.

Why are 2 pathetic monsters used to protect Exodia you ask? Well, read this:

Exodia can only be attacked and destroyed by two ability’s: Tunneling and Flying. Tunneling means you go under the board to attack, and Flying means only flying monsters can attack in the air. Now here comes the fun part. While Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1 is in the Dungeon; all creatures can’t use their Tunnel ability. When Feral Imp is in the Dungeon, creatures can’t use their Flying ability. That means your Exodia is safe… for now. But, sadly, there are 2 down falls about these monsters. First off, these creatures negate YOUR monsters too, so you can use Tunnel or Flying, and second… well, there both pretty weak. Feral Imp has HP: 10/Attack: 10/Defense: 20. Winged Dragon has HP: 10/Attack: 10/Defense: 10. So there pretty weak. It’s better to keep them both in the backside of your Dungeon, on opposite sides to keep them safe. Another way to protect them is to have a big monster protecting them. The two monsters I use to protect them are Knight of Twin Swords and Crocozaurus to protect them. Here’s the hard part: summoning them. Exodia is a LV 4 Summoning, as well as Crocozaurus, Knight of Twin Swords, Feral Imp and Winged Dragon are all LV 2 Summoning. This is what you do: First Summon Crocozaurus, then Knight of Twin Swords, then Exodia, then either Feral Imp or Winged Dragon. But them in the 2 sides of the Dungeon, and unleash Exodia on the person your playing. That’s all you have to do. Just have some patience when you try to summon these creatures, they’re not easy to summon. And one last thing: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MOVEMENT CRESTS!!!! If you don’t have enough Movement Crests, you’re in trouble.

This is all for this article. I hope I can find SOME people who play DDM.

If you want to talk to, or trade me on the Message Boards, I’m TheMagicianDuelist12.

If you want to email me, you can at DBZreviewer@yahoo.com.

Make sure you also check out my articles for DBZ. I’m SuperSaiyanTrunks there.

Until next time, Keep the Dice Rollin’
