Article 4 of 5: Different Dimension Assassin
December 23, 2005

Heylo everyone, this is actually the fifth item I've submitted to Pojo today. My apologies for not getting everything up on time. Monday my first article didn't go up, so I waited till Tuesday to see if it would. When it did, I tried to send on Wednesday, and of course right when I click the "send" button, my internet connection decides to crap out. Lovely, simply lovely.

Well all that crap's in the past, and if you're reading this now, you must be really bored. Seriously, this is like, the 4th thing that I've done today. I'll have another two tomorrow. I'm freaking everywhere! You see that shadow in the tree outside your window? Yea, that's a branch, but right next to that one is another branch that I probably sat on at one time or another. Well, if you live outside NJ that's not really true, but hell, who cares anyway?

Onto the review of the day. Today's a card that didn't really "Pop up", as much as it "Became a staple in just about every deck ever". She's run in multiples everywhere, and she's great at what she does. Ladies and gents, take a gander at D.D. Assailant.
This chic has got some mad skillz (Pardon my slang... G) and she's been everywhere since she was released. Some people questioned her playablility compared to DDWL. Nowadays, she gets played over DDWL. Her ATK points are just that good. But before I go on, let's once again take a look at this babes effect:

DBT-EN002
D.D. Assailant
Earth/Warrior/4/1700/1600
When this card is destroyed as a result of battle with your opponent's monster, remove from play this card and the opponent's monster that destroyed this card.

Talk about power. This babe packs a punch in any direction. Set her for a rather good 1600 DEF, summon her with a nice 1700 ATK, or do anything revolving around putting her on the field. There's a reason this girl's run in multiples. She's so darn versatile.
She's Earth, which is good in the case of Earth Swarm. Besides that she doesn't bring much for her attribute. She's Warrior, which gives her access to the single most abused sub-type in the game. Reinforcement of the Army, The Warrior Returning Alive, Freed the Matchless all grab her back. Plus, she's working with Exiled Force, DD Warrior Lady, Mystic Swordsman LV2 and 4 and just about every card that has "abuse me" written on it. She's not even restricted to one per deck. Though you can be sure that at the next ban list, she most certainly will be. To leave this gal running rampant would be a mistake by Upperdeck that would be nearly unforgivable. Don't get me wrong, I love this card and all, but she's too good for her own good. Only thing she can't do is ram and remove a weaker monster. But hell, why would ya do that? DD Warrior Lady was used to remove stronger monsters all the time anyway. How often do you recall removing DDWL for something like Dark Jeroid or Cyber Jar.

In the end, she's a hottie with the stuff. Players all over are looking for her, and you can bet that if I owned tripples, I'd be running them. She may not be searchable by anything but RotA, but honestly that's all you need.

Advanced: 9.5/10 (If her effect was optional, she'd get a 10)
Traditional: 9/10 (Goodbye Black Luster)
Art: 9.5/10 (She looks oh so cool)

Once again, it's time for a guest writer. Though I doubt any of you know him, he's a great duelist that I've known for years. Please welcome: Arney Powell.
D.D. Assailant

Well hello everyone at Pojo. My names Arney Powell but you can call me AP. Im here to review one of my favorite cards ever. The great and powerful D.D. Assailant. Shes a warrior with quite a kick. Shes almost become pure staple in any deck. The field control she provides is great to any deck. Shes also got a whooping 1700 attack. Though that isnt the greatest ever, its much more then half of what your opponant will throw at you will manage. Not only does she have a great effect, but it works well with her effect. She removes anything that may get in your way on the field. Shes good in every direction and if you cant afford one, then afford several copies of D.D. Survivor. The only thing that really counters her is D.D. Survivor. Besides him, there isnt much that will be able to stop her power.
Besides her attack, she has a good defense. 1600 will stop quite a few things dead and that basicly makes enemy controller useless when used on her. She will stop mostly anything running into her and remove anything that does kill her. Run her if you have her and if you dont good luck.

Advanced: 9/10
*Shes got plenty of power for this format
Traditional: 9/10
*She makes the Chaos Monsters join their removed from game friends

Well that's it for now, until next time my faithful followers of Chtulu.

- David "BobDole" Hoffman & Arney "AP" Powell

Notes: Sorry for all this crap.
