Article # 42 - Krazy Knights For today’s article, we’ll be taking a look at the 3 cards from the Limited Edition 4 Yugi Promo Pack. There’s no telling when any of these cards might be released in English. Let’s get started with a look at the Queen Knight. Queen Knight Light/Warrior - Level 4 - 1500/1600 - Normal Monster - Well, the Queen Knight isn’t much of a Monster without the help of her fellow Knights. It’s simply a Normal Monster with average stats of 1500/1600, equal to that of the Dimensional Warrior Girl’s. It’s searchable by Critter, so that’s always good, and it’s a Light/Warrior-type, meaning it can fit into some Light-based, some Warrior-based, and Knight-based Decks. 1600 DEF can put up an average defensive wall for you, but it’s really not all that great. Your opponent should have no trouble getting by it. 1500 ATK isn’t so good, either, but it can get the job done in some instances. This is not a card you’d usually want to include in any Deck of yours unless you do want to base it around the Knights. It’s more of a fun-play card than anything else. I’d give Queen Knight an overall rating of 5.5/10. Moving on, we take a look at the King Knight. King Knight Light/Warrior - Level 4 - 1600/1400 Effect: When this Monster is Normal Summoned, if you have a {Queen Knight} on the Field, you may Special Summon one {Jack Knight} from your Deck. The King Knight isn’t too much of a good Monsters card, either, but it can be made into one with the help of the other Knights. It’s a Level 4 1600/1400 Monster, so it can be an average/solid attacker, and can fit into some Light-based and Warrior-based Decks, as well as Knight-based Decks. To utilize this Monster to its fullest potential, you’re going to need to get a Queen Knight out onto the Field before Normal Summoning King Knight. (It only works when it’s Normal Summoned) Because if you can Summon this guy with Queen Knight out on the Field, you can Special Summon yet another Monster for some extra power out onto the Field in Jack Knight, which will be reviewed below. Having all three Monsters out onto the Field could be a nice advantage over your opponent, with a total attack force of 5000 just in the Knights alone. It could be very effective, but none of these cards are too powerful at all. Basically, you wouldn’t want to use King Knight, or any of these other Knights for that matter, in a Deck unless you’re making it a Knight-based Deck, usually with at least 2 of each of the Knights in the Deck. It can be searched by the Witch, so there’s another advantage that King Knight has. Out of these 3 Knights, King Knight is probably the best. I’d give King Knight an overall rating of 6.2/10. For the third and final card of today’s article, let’s take a look at Jack Knight. Jack Knight Light/Warrior - Level 5 - 1900/1400 - Normal Monster - A Level 5 1900-Attacker.. Not too intriguing. There are plenty of Level 4 Monsters that have stronger stats than Jack Knight, and are much easier to Summon. Jack Knight fits into the same types of Decks as the other Knights do, but nothing more, really. It can be searched by the Witch, as well, but that’s not too much of an advantage for a Level 5 Normal Monster with weak stats of 1900/1400. The only actually good way to use this card is with King and Queen Knights, using King Knight’s ability to easily Special Summon this card from your Deck. (Must be from your Deck, btw, not Hand) These 3 Monsters’ greatest benefits come when they’re all on the Field together, giving you a nice attacking/Monster advantage. So basically, if you’re not using a Knight Deck, you don’t want to be using this card. Don’t think you’d want to Sacrifice a Monster for a measly 1900 Attacker, now would you? Well, who knows, you might, if you really like the card or something, but that’s beside the point. Anyways, I’d rate Jack Knight an overall 4.5/10. Not too great or useful of a card. Just another fun-play card, as the other Knights mostly are. They can be effective when used together, but even then they can be somewhat hard to utilize. Sorry; I know this wasn’t much of an article, but I was having some trouble on figuring out things to review, so when I thought about these cards, I decided some people might be interested in knowing about them, even though there‘s barely anything one can say about them. They were used by Yugi in the Anime/Manga, and thus why they were included in the Limited Edition 4 Yugi Promo Pack. The cards do have some pretty nice art, though.
And to end this article, here’s a Light/Warrior-based Deck example using the 3 Knights. (Also in accordance to the Banned List) Monsters: 16 2x Jack Knight 3x Dimensional Warrior Girl 3x Blade Knight 2x King Knight 2x Queen Knight 1x Wandering Hero - Freed 1x Black Forest Witch 1x Critter 1x Killer Snake (You can try a Chaos Soldier - Messenger of the Beginning if you want, but with only 2 Dark Monsters it could be hard to utilize) Magic Cards: 17 3x Cyclone 2x Calling Reinforcements 1x Return of the Warrior 1x Power of Teamwork 1x Pot of Greed 1x Angel’s Gift 1x Dark Hole 1x Heavy Storm 1x Raise Dead 1x Premature Burial 1x Foolish Burial 1x Snatch Steal 1x Apostle of Obliteration 1x Dark Core Trap Cards: 7 1x Sixth Sense 1x Magic Drain 1x Call of the Haunted 1x Magical Cylinders 1x Waboku 1x Mirror Force 1x Destruction Ring Total: 40 And that’ll do it for Article # 42 - Krazy Knights.
