Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! I must apologize for my fairly lengthy falling off the Earth...or so it would seem. College and working full time keeps Dark Paladin to busy to defend himself...seriously though, I've come to talk about two cards that were promos in the Nightmare Troubadour game for the Nintendo DS.

Silent Magician Level 4
Silent Magician Level 8

Silent Magician Level 4 is a bit supar. Being a Level 4 monster with an Attack and Defense of only 1000, isn't so great, but he does gain 500 attack points each time your opponent draws a card. When your opponent draws for the 5th time, remove all 5 spell counters to "level up" SM Level 4 to SM Level 8.

Now, you may think "FIVE DRAWS?" That's a long time to wait, that could be five turns, but it doesn't have to be. Even though Pot and Graceful and banned now there are other draw cards. Draw Phase for your opponent counts as one, then they play Reckless Greed or Upstart Goblin, and you got two counters in one turn. Card Destruction can add another as can many other cards.

When you "level up" you get Silent Magician Level 8 who boasts an impressive 3500 attack points, yet still the pathetic 1000 defense.
Furthermore, SM Level 8 is unaffected by ALL your opponent's Spell cards. No Snatch Steal, Book of Moon, Lightning Vortex, Brain Control, Creature Swap, or any others. That's real good too, because if SM Level 8 were switched to defense mode, it wouldn't be very hard to kill.

Are these cards worth creating a deck around? I would say absolutely, I don't see why the deck wouldn't be playable. If waiting 5 turns is too long (or however many you wait) you can always add Level Up! as it ignores the requirements. However, as I said, the banning of Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity hurt draw speed for SM Level 4, but it isn't the end of the world.

10) Who said "and I have just the card in my hand to do it...come forth..."

If you know the monster in that last one, you know who it was...hint, it was in the Noah saga.
