Killer Marshmallons?

11.14.05

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! Sorry to be gone so long between articles, I really do need to work on that. The first thing I wish to do today is briefly talk about my experience at the Elemental Energy Sneak Preview I went too.

Yes, I did receive Exchange of the Spirits as anyone else who attended should have. The only other card I got that was really cool was an Ultimate Elemental Hero Tempest...too bad I don't use E Heroes.

Secondly, congrats to the two people who met me. I met two very nice people/duelists named Luke Anderrs and Sean Corrdidson. It was cool to be recognized for my work here on Pojo in person!

Now, as the title implies, I'm talking about killer marshmallons today, or more accurately, ONE killer marshmallon, a card not currently released in the United States.

Marshmallon
300 attack
500 defense
Light/Fairy
Level 3

Effect: This card is not destroyed as a result of battle (damage calculation is applied normally). When this card is attacked while in face down defense posistion, the controller of the card who attacked this card takes 1000 points of direct damage.

Now, while having such paltry stats, Marshmallon isn't going to win any contests, but he isn't used for attacking. Obviously, he's used for the burn effect. He's searchable by Sangan and Shining Angel (good) and he can't be destroyed as a result of battle (good).

You could re-use his effect (possibly) by using Book of Moon on Marshmallon assuming you could get your opponent to attack it again.
There are many decks that Marshmallon could fit in, the most obvious being burn. A tribute heavy deck wouldn't hurt, though Marshmallon is quite versatile, and I would expect most to use him (pending its release of course.)

That does it for today, and I hope you enjoyed it.

Feel free to contact me about anything @ tsearcy@lssu.edu

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

~Dark Paladin~
