Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
The State of the Current Metagame Part VII
Devotion to the game
6.16.06
Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! Today, I'm
continuing my state of the metagame series talking about
devotion. People who are devoted to the game of Yugioh is a
very important factor of things, but I'm talking a bit
bigger than that.
Dedicated fan sites to keep us informed, like say, POJO help
keep the game alive as well. I'm not sure if people who
regularly visit and use Pojo are fully aware of how
appreciative they should be.
What do I mean? Well, for starters, let's take a look at
featured writers. Take Jaelove for instance. He is quite
possibly the best writer Pojo has EVER had. He began writing
back in mid 2004 and its mid 2006 and he is STILL writing.
Talk about devotion to your game, huh? Whether he is
constructing or fixing decks, or giving you ways to improve
your game, or even the game itself. If you have never read
any of Jaelove's work, I strongly suggest you do so.
Then, there is of course myself, Dark Paladin. I've been
writing for over a year and a half now, and I thank all my
fans and the support I receive. Remember, this site,
everything I do, everything WE do, is for you, the FANS.
Also, think of some of our greatest old writers. Take DM7FGD
and Pook for instance. Both were brilliant insightful
writers and you can still read their works though the old
writers section.
Secondly, Card of the Day is very important. We have had a
wide array of people reviewing cards ever since April of
2002! It's currently June of 2006 and Card of the Day is
strong as ever with no sight of stopping soon. Granted, we
may not always review great stuff, but we
keep you up to date with what's hot and what's not so to
speak.
Thirdly, we bring you Yugioh news about almost anything as
soon as it's brought to us. Whether it be about Video Games,
Starter or Structure Decks, tournament information, spoilers
for new boosters, whatever, you get it here.
Finally, the forums of Pojo are also very important. Many
MANY people are connected to freely express their thoughts
and ideas through the many forum topics. Also, you are
probably aware that Pojo also does Pokemon, Magic, and many
other games.
My point is, appreciate what you have to help with your game
and yous
sight(s) of information. That's it for today, and I hope you
enjoyed it. As always I can be contacted at tsearcy@lssu.edu.
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
~Dark Paladin~
