The bittersweetness of August

Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! Today is August 1st, and that is part of what I'm going to talk about today. Most people are still on Summer Vacation this month, but let's talk more about August, shall we?

This month, Season 2 of Yugioh G/X begins on Cartoon Network. You'll see the arrival of a new student at Duel Academy who is able to defeat Jaden. The first three tins of this year come out next month in September, and there are still plenty of tournaments and such to attend.

The biggest part of August, however, is having to go back to school.
Whether you be entering Kindergarden, Junior High, High School, or returning to college, August seems to mark the return to the educational system for many students.

Now, I'm not trying to bring everyone down, most people don't like returning to school. However, I'm trying to make a point here. Don't lose touch with dueling or the duelist inside you just because you have to return to school.

Dueling shouldn't be seasonal. School IS important, I'm not saying it isn't. Try to find time to still attend tournaments, and try to stay in touch with the Metagame. We're only 3 months from a new ban list, so be sure to keep up with important things like that. If you can't attend tournaments because of school, be sure to stay involved.

Try attending Sneak Previews, the one for Power of the Duelist isn't all that far away, or even stay in touch simply by dueling your friends or neighbors or even going to hobby shops. Throw your own little "tournament" in your home or something. It's important to stay involved so you don't have to play catch up next time you get involved.
