Dark Paladin's Yu-Gi-Oh! Dimension
Hello again to Pojo and Yugioh fans one and all! Strolling about the forums I noticed that the new Ban List for September had been found, and is posted in the Forums in the Banned/Restricted Section. I'm going to go over the changes and give you my thoughts on what happened. Newly Banned: Dark Magician of Chaos--It breaks my heart, but everyone's favorite Spellcaster has been Banned. It's pretty obvious as to why, and no small miracle that he survived the last Format. That's one less problem for everyone to deal with. Destiny Hero-Disk Commander--This I don't understand, at least not as much as the other two. I understand Premature being Banned, possibly as a preventive effort here, along with DMoC, but I see why at the same time. Premature Burial: Call of the Haunted took the hit last Format, and Premature Burial joins it in this Format. Monster Reborn, oddly enough, is still at our disposal, but people will be looking for more creative revival methods now. Newly Restricted: Breaker the Magical Warrior--DMoC has left us, but Breaker returns and reclaims his spot as everyone's favorite Spellcaster. Expect to see Breaker everywhere, and used by everyone. He is back with a vengeance. Cyber Dragon--This one takes me a bit by surprise. Cyber Dragon seemed to have been falling out of popularity in this Format. Maybe it's a bigger problem in another part of the world or something. Oddly enough, being Restricted, I think we might see more of him. Monster Gate and Reasoning: This makes sense, at least to a point. It would have made more sense in this Format when DMoC was still around. This may have been an overly zealous move but we will see, won't we? Newly Semi-Restricted: Dark Armed Dragon and Judgment Dragon: Two incredibly powerful and popular cards of this Format, and they will be in the new Format. Anyone who was playing three of either will survive just fine by only playing two. Phantom of Chaos: Phantom of Chaos is a wonderful monster who could be devestating. I'm not sure if this is or was a problem anywhere, but it isn't a bad idea to put a bit of a limit on such a potentially powerful card. Card of Safe Return Chain Strike Nobleman of Crossout Rescue Cat Those are the four other cards that have been Semi-Restricted. Nobleman of Crossout, Rescue Cat, and Chain Strike have all been on the list before. Apparently people think Special Summoning is going to be huge, but Zombies will, so I understand Card of Safe Return. Most Decks that are popular now, still will be. Don't forget, we're going to get Tuners and Synchro monsters soon too. It's going to be an exciting Format! That does it for today, and I hope you enjoyed it! As always, if you need to contact me, please feel free to contact me @ tsearcy@lssu.edu You stay classy, Planet Earth :) ~Dark Paladin~
