Hey all,

 

As some of you have noticed, it’s been a while since I released an article.  I’m kind of running low on ideas.  Thanks to reader, however, I have an idea to try out.

 

With all of your help, I would like to have my next article be made up of cards you all have created.

 

 Here are some guidelines:

 

 1) All cards are to be based around a theme in order to be judged. The theme for this set is bouncing. That is cards that cause bouncing (return from the field to the hand or deck) of itself or other cards under certain conditions, or furthermore, cards the gain effects when bounced back to the hand and/or the deck!

 

 2) Think outside the box! As a simple example, a thunder type monster does NOT have to be Light Attribute.

 

 3) No Broken cards are accepted. If any broken cards are sent in, they, as in the cards, are disqualified. And, obviously, no cards that are already real cards with different names will be accepted either.

 

 4) No stupid or "pointless" cards will be accepted. Normal monsters are permitted. An example of a stupid, pointless card would be: Atk 0/ def 0 Level 9 Effect: This monster can only attack directly. This card cannot declare an attack if there is a monster, spell, or trap card on you or your opponent's side of the field.

 

 5) No picture is required, but if a person wants to include a picture to go with their card, they can if they wish.

 

 6) All cards must be named!

 

 7) Remember to fully label your cards with its stats. Include the spell speed as well if the card has an effect.

 

More Details:

 

 Now, this is a contest, you are going to be competing against each other. More than likely I will not be choosing every card submitted to be part of the set.

 

And, as this is a contest, there must be prizes, and there are! The creators of the top 4 cards judged will receive a card(s) as well as have their cards be the ultra rares of the set. I am currently undecided on what the prizes will be. Cards given the Secret Rare rarity will be cards that were exceptional, but not quite good enough. Those will be honorable mentions. All other cards will be randomly given different rarities.

 

 I have also yet to decide how big the set will be. It depends on how many cards get submitted.

 

Judging Details:

 

All cards must meet the guidelines above to be judged, in particular 1) and 6).

 

 Your cards will be judged on the originality of the name, the effect (including spell speed). The judges will also judge if the card is balanced (as opposed to broken). If the card is a monster, its stats will be considered as well.

 

 If you include card art, it will NOT weigh heavily on our judging. It could, however, help if your card is borderline between good and great.

 

 I will be appointing a panel to do the judging, along with myself.

 

Submitting details:

 

Upon finishing your card(s), send them to me via a private message or to my e-mail: lonely_wolf93@yahoo.com. The title of the e-mail/private message needs to be Create-a-Card Submission. I HIGHLY prefer you send them via e-mail. If you send via e-mail, include your Pojo user name, if you are a member of Pojo’s Message Board.

 

Include the card text in the body of the e-mail. NO ATTACHMENTS (unless you include card art)!

 

 Make sure the entirety of the card is easily noticable among any other text in your submission.

 

 When submitting, please do not ask if your cards are good or if there is a problem with them. I will not be returning those e-mails. I will, however, answer questions as to contest details and rules. See below.

 

One card per user may be submitted.

 

The deadline for submission is August 24, 2007 at 11:59 PM

 

 The results will be released late the following week.
