Deck Profile : Tiamat

Now before I begin let me explain my weird title I choose for today's article, Since I am a huge fan of Dungeons & Dragons and some people may already know the name but for those who don't know - Tiamat; Lawfull Evil Goddess with the body of Five Deaded Dragon all of different color just like the YGO Five Headed Dragon.

Noo I'am not dead just very very busy lately and I have been playing more Dungeons & Dragons ( for the record no one can OUT nerd me =P ) then YGO which leads me to todays fantastic topic.....Dragons. Now unlike D&D good Dragons are hard to come by other then the Armed Dragon/Horus Family or the new Victory Dragon or Five Headed Dragon but after seeing my local meta this weekend I saw a lot of good well built Dragon decks that made me think. Now if you're just starting out in YGO most likely you're already interested in Dragons or Spellcaster or even worse E-Heros from the TV trust me most people lie about this fact but most of all players good or bad wanted to build a Blue Eyes White Dragon deck when they started. Now lets begin enough of the random filler talk ^.~ you want to build a Dragon deck first off since many variants of the deck type exist finding what type matches you is important but if you're the type that only cares about beig competitive but wants to try something new then I highly suggest the Armed Dragon/Horus method or the my version down below.

-20-

3x Armed Dragon Lv 5

3x Masked Dragon

3x Mirage Dragon

3x Spear Dragon

2x Armed Dragon Lv 3

1x Twin Head Behemoth

1x Breaker the Magical Warrior

1x Sangan

1x Spirit Reaper

1x Treeborn Frog

1x D. D. Warrior Lady

-12-

1x Gracefull Charity

1x Heavy Storm

1x Mystical Space Typhoon

1x Confiscation

1x Premature Burial

1x Scapegoat

1x Nobleman of Crossout

1x Future Fusion

2x Smashing Ground/Fissure

2x Dragon's Mirror

-8-

3x Sakuretsu Armor

2x Return from the Different Dimension

1x Torrential Tribute

1x Mirror Force

1x Ring of Destruction

Fusions = 3x Five Headed Dragon

Now here is the basic layout of what in my opinion the Armed Dragon deck should look like, The whole focus is to dump plenty of Dragon's Mirror fodder ( i e Dragons ) in the graveyard then Five Headed Dragon/Return from the Different Dimension sounds pretty simple lets go over how that is possible. Now Future Fusion even though it goes against Treeborn Frog is a great way to speed through your deck and potentially bring out FHD alone without Dragon's Mirror which is very unlikely but still possible. Now triple Mirage Dragon serve as the primary beatstick in the deck since it provides great protection for FHD or the game winning activation of RftDD plus 1600 ATK can take out some if not all commonly played monsters. Masked Dragon/Twin Headed Behemoth combined provide good field control plus bringing out Armed Dragon Lv 3 which then next turn brings out Lv 5 or if that fails Treeborn Frog is excellent tribute fodder or even better meatshield if you're drawing nothing, Spear Dragon having 1900 ATK with its trample effect is just amazing either just attacking opponents Spirit Reaper or coming back through RftDD. Now I hope you enjoyed todays article I just want to show the readers that I'm not all metagame competitive decks like Monarchs or Machines but I can build original deck types which now leads me to my final thought what should I do next article in a few weeks after the whole holidays season is over just e mail me your thoughts.

1) Zombie

2) Beast

3) E-Hero

4) Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys

5) Deck Fix ( if you e mail your deck I may do the article about it but depends on the deck ~.^ )
