1)
Dark Strike Fighter (Crimson Crisis –
Super Rare)
-
Undoubtedly the hottest card on the
market right now. Utilized by anyone who has it, as
it doesn’t hurt to have it in the extra deck for
security situations. Gives ability for SynCat and
Blackwings to OTK. This card maintains value until
the end of summer.
2)
Blackwing Armor Master (Crimson
Crisis – Ultra/Ultimate Rare)
-
Blackwings came second at Canadian
Nationals. Throughout the day there was countless
mirror matches, and most of them came down to
whoever was able to summon Armor Master first.
Expect this card to go up in value.
3)
Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner
(Championship Pack 8 – Super Rare)
-
Lightsworn is the most played deck at
major events right now. With CP08 being
short-released, you can be sure that this card will
maintain its high value for as long as Lightsworns
stay competitive.
4)
Book of Moon (Championship Pack 1 –
Super Rare)
-
One of the more popular tech choices
right now. Having been out of print for several
years, the scarcity of this card is ridiculous, and
obtaining it at a reasonable value is more difficult
than anything else. Unless the next banlist puts it
at 1 or 2, this card maintains its high value.
5)
Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind
(Crimson Crisis – Rare)
-
Quite possibly the hardest Blackwing
card to obtain. This short print rare is worth more
than holos in the set. Also being splashable in
SynCat, it maintains a high value for even a rare.
Expect this card to go up in value.
6)
X-Saber Airbellum (5Ds Structure Deck
2 – Common)
-
Without this card, SynCat is not
possible. Many people are buying the 5Ds2 deck just
to get their hands on copy of this. Expect to
actually “trade” for this card instead of getting it
as a throw-in to seal a deal.
7)
Crush Card Virus (Gold Series 1 –
Gold Rare)
-
One of the most powerful cards in the
game right now. Even with speculation of its
reprint in the near future, this card remains a hot
commodity that can fetch $170-$250. Until closer to
the end of summer, this card maintains value.
8)
Honest (Light of Destruction –
Secret/Ghost Rare)
-
Aside from Judgment Dragon, most
players will agree that Honest is the card that
makes Lightsworns so good. Coming from a set with 8
secret rares, and the playability of Lightsworn in
the current format, don’t expect Honest to drop in
value until the next banlist.
9)
Arcanite Magician (Crimson Crisis –
Super Rare)
-
The other synchro monster that sees a
lot of play in SynCat. Arcanite opens ways for the
OTK to happen by wiping out your opponent’s field.
Depending on the success of SynCat at US Nationals,
expect this card to maintain value, or go up.
10)
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (Shonen
Jump Subscription – Promo)
-
A DragOTK took Toronto Regionals by
storm back in May, by going undefeated to Top-8. It
made waves again at Canada Nationals, going 6-0
before it tasted defeat. The engine behind this
deck, makes it one of the most feared decks to play
against. This card will maintain value.
