If there’s one card from
Raging Battle that caught my eye because of its
name…..it would have to be Chaos End Master.
After all, how long has it been since we have had a
card that had “Chaos” in its name? Not only does it
have a cool name, the card art looked awesome. What
do you do when you see a card that has an awesome
name and picture? You obviously make a deck around
it!
Before we go on, I will
state now, that this deck is not meant to be an
extremely competitive deck. However, it will likely
be good enough to win an average locals with. Let’s
have a look at the star of the deck…
Chaos End Master – Lv4
1500/1000
Warrior – Tuner
If this card destroys
an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the
Graveyard, you
can
Special Summon
1
Level 5 or
higher monster with 1600
ATK or less
from your
Deck.
While on its own, it
cannot do much, with the right support this card can
be a nuisance to play against. There will not be a
lot Chaos End Master can destroy on its own
nowadays, therefore, in order to trigger its effect,
we will have to rely on attack point manipulators.
One this card DOES destroy a monster, it gives you a
lot of advantage over your opponent…unless you
opened with all 3 copies of a card that you are not
supposed to draw.
3x Chaos End Master
3x Sphere of Chaos
3x Honest
3x Thunder King Rai-Oh
1x Morphing Jar
1x Sangan
2x Shining Angel
1x Marshmallon
1x Cyber Dragon
[18]
3x Shrink
3x Book of Moon
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Brain Control
1x Monster Reborn
1x Smashing Ground
1x Magical Mallet
[12]
3x Solemn Judgment
3x Bottomless Trap Hole
3x Threatening Roar
1x Mirror Force
[10]
The Sphere of Chaos were
chosen over other candidates such as Destiny Hero –
Malicious, Satellite Cannon and Byser Shock for
synergy reasons. By using Malicious, it takes away
my ability to sync after swarming. Satellite Cannon
only stalls, and Byser Shock while is an interesting
card to use in the deck, its attack is too low, and
will prolong the game because of its low attack.
Sphere of Chaos can also serve as bait for your
opponent to attack into when you have Honest in
hand. Many people will forget the reality that
Sphere is also treated as a light-type monster.
Thunder Kings are being
used simply because it is a light beater that
provides me more options with Honest. Not only
that, its special-summon negating ability can prove
to be a decisive factor in a game. Its 1900-attack
is not too shabby either.
As for the spell line up,
Book of Moon and Shrinks are in there obviously for
the battle manipulation. They allow for Chaos End
Master to successfully attack over a monster to
trigger its effect. While Enemy Controller serves
the same purpose as Book as in switching battle
positions, Book is being used simply because of the
amount of synchro-summoning that takes place in the
current metagame. The single Mallet is in there for
the sole reason of giving you outs to a handful of
dead Sphere of Chaos. It is highly unlikely that
you will waste a normal summon (via tribute mind
you), to bring this monster out. So outside of
remaining in the deck, it is a dead card.
The traps are pretty much
standard. I have 3 Threatening Roars in there to
prevent OTKs, and protecting the Chaos Ends. Mirror
Force is being used over Torrential Tribute because
of the amount of monster presence this deck should
present you with. Theoretically, there should not
be a reason for you not to control a monster at any
given moment in the game (when you’re still
competitively in the duel).
