YuGiOh
Before I start things off I'd
love to commend Jae Kim on his
last article for metagame.com.
He is also bringing out another
one this Saturday dealing with a
new age Strike Ninja build. I
applaud your creative Genius,
wherever do you find the time to
get these ideas and put them
together. If only I had thought
of them first (ROTFLOL):P
Now I know what it feels like to
be someone's muse:)
.........................................
Double Fertilization is a
phenomena we observe in
Angiosperms (flowering
plants). Basically this is a
creative solution flowering
plants have evolved in order to
provide fertilized seeds a food
source. Overall one sperm (male
reproductive gamete) will
fertilize the egg (female
reproductive gamete) and another
sperm will fuse with Polar
Bodies (reproductive by-products
of meiosis). The outcome is a
fertilized seed and a tasty
endosperm. Now I know what you
all are thinking, gross.
Endosperm believe it or is not
is the puffy white nutrient rich
layer found in popcorn.
NOW YOU KNOW.
The reason that I have just
described to you this
biological fact is so that you
all have a basis of knowledge
allowing you to know seeds
posses both Diploid and Triploid
cells. (Diploid Cells are those
with 2 sets of chromosomes, thus
allowing a full set of DNA from
two different "donors" to be
expressed (fertilized seed).
Triploid Cells are cells with 3
sets of chromosome, thus due to
having one more chromosome pair
something other than a seed
forms.)
Now Asexual Reproduction can
occur in plants, but even more
astounding truth be told some
ferns sexually reproduce with
themselves.
This process is done through the
the formation of a Prothalus in
which both archegonium (female
reproductive structure) and
antheridium (male reproductive
structure) are presence.
Overall the fern reproduces with
itself.
The overall importance described
here is that flowers, grass,
etc. are capable of reproducing
whatever the current situation
of their population. This is
how we must approach the
development of new deck types...
As promised I have decided to
introduce to you all a Dragon
Deck.
I received the following
email....
What's up Tebezu,
I just checked out your article
on the Roid Deck. Nice job.
I'd like to get any opinion on
my Dragon Deck built to get out
the Five Headed Dragon.
Here it is:
42 cards
Monsters 23
3xArmed Dragon lv5
3xArmed Dragon lv3
3xMasked Dragon
3xLuster Dragon
2xMirage Dragon
1xTwin Headed Behemoth
3xCyber Dragon
1xSangan
1xDD Warrior Lady
1xBreaker the Magical Warrior
2xExiled Force
Magic 13
1xGraceful Charity
1xHeavy Storm
1xMystical Space Typhoon
1xGiant Trunade
1xCreature Swap
1xPremature Burial
1xLast Will
1xScapegoat
1xFissure
1xLightniong Vortex
1xFuture Fusion
2xDragon's Mirror
Trap 6
1xCall of the Haunted
1xMirror Force
1xTorrential Tribute
1xRing of Destruction
2xDust Tornado
I like the Armed Dragons because
I can get them out very quickly
to fuel Dragon's Mirror. I was
using stamping destruction at
first but I was dead in my hand
sometimes if I didn't have a
dragon on the field so I went
with dust tornado instead. So
far it's doing okay. I would
appreciate any advice you could
give.
Thanks,
-Ray-
As stated above reproduction, no
matter how it occurs or what it
forms uses the same raw genetic
material. When we approach deck
building we can not break away
from the cookie cutter too
much. Yugioh is a game that has
a limited card pool, for us to
not use the best available
cards...
(Graceful Charity, Heavy Storm,
Breaker the Magical Warrior,
etc.)
puts us at a severe
disadvantage.
Ray's dragon deck was one of the
better builds that I received.
It is a very reliable looking
deck, some changes need to be
made, but anyone could pick this
deck up and figure it to run
pretty standard and well. I
received dragon decks from
people running Horus, armed
dragon, and troop dragons with
dragon's mirror and Pot of
Avarice. The only way I can
visually compare this deck list
to you is if you sit back and
think of a dog picture.
....
...
Ok we have a dog, but as we
start to build the background
up, the more detail we put into
the background the more it takes
away from the dog, which is what
our overall goal to see is. The
more clutter the less dog we
see. Eventually the paper
becomes black due to all the
extra ink. Now we see nothing.
....
....
We can not expect to run an
efficient deck if it tries to do
500 things at one time. The
Shonen Jump Champs, the guy who
wins your local all the time,
etc. are people who simplify the
game. The monarch decks being
used right now require a player
to make a quick 2 for 1 exchange
(tribute off a frog or flip
effect monster/floater) thus
giving them the upper hand in
advantage.
We must simplify the game to be
successful, strike ninja is a
good card because if used
properly will provide a free
plus 1 that can and will
accumulate over turns.
Now that I have made this point,
it is time to look at the deck
and make some drops.
1xArmed Dragon lv5
1xArmed Dragon lv3
1xCyber Dragon
1xGiant Trunade
1xFissure
1xLightniong Vortex
1xExiled Force
2xDust Tornado
Both Dust Tornado's should be
replaced with Royal Decree.
Dust Tornado will always be a 1
for 1. Sometimes a 2 for 1 if
your opponent hits it with MST.
But Royal Decree will be a 1 for
1 that generates total negation
(except in the case of Breaker/mobius
in which case we should
side-deck bottomless trap hole
and trap hole to shut down the
"persistent issue"), thus
allowing us to freely summon our
Five-Headed Dragon (or any other
monster for that matter).
Lightning Vortex and Fissure are
not as good as smashing ground.
Until Gadgets are released,
smashing is one of the best 1
for 1 cards to date. Most of
the monsters being played today
are floaters in one sense or
another. Skilled players do not
swarm the field with
non-floaters unless they have a
way to protect them or victory
is ensured. Thus Lightning
Vortex becomes a pointless card
to utilize. If an opponent is
running monarchs then their
monarch has just cost you 3
cards, while they are still up
1. Hence smashing ground is
better in most cases. Fissure
is not even a good substitute
due to frog, Sangan, and
Scapegoat.
Giant Trunade needs to be
dropped due to its lack of
synergy. He is using this card
to protect his dragons, but
Royal Decree is going to give us
more than we need. Thus Trunade
should be replaced with another
Creature Swap, which gives us
all kinds of broken swap targets
to use. Sangan, Masked Dragon,
Twin-Headed Behemoth, goats,
etc.
One Cyber Dragon should be
dropped to help us utilize the
decks three tributes. Armed
Dragon LV. 5 is not always going
to be searched from the deck.
Thus frog will work with
creature swap, last will,
graceful, etc. Plus I also feel
the deck is going to establish
field control quick enough that
Cyber Dragon will become dead
weight.
One of each Armed Dragon level
should be dropped to make room
for Spirit Reaper (one of the
best monsters EVER) and D.D.
Assailant. The overall goal of
this deck is to make it appear
like we are playing something
other than dragons. Then to
drop the Dragon's Mirror for a
big surprise attack.
I am also going to remove an
Exiled Force to make room for a
Zaborg. This is not a necessary
change, but I am one who
believes exiled should only be
ran at two if reinforcements of
the army is in the deck. Exiled
is a great monster, but I really
do not see a point for 2.
Now the final build!!!

Death gives rise to life and as
such this deck demonstrates such
a pwoerful concept, so few
understand.
If anyone needs any help, has a
crazy idea, or just wants to
talk I can be contacted at...
