YuGiOh
My skill as a writer
has recently been
insulted. My logic
concerning writing
has been insulted.
But an insult means
nothing when it
comes from a
nobody. Much like
Zane Trunsdale, I
too have felt the
low and degrading
realization of
defeat. To lose in
any manner is never
fun, some say it is
a learning tool,
others argue it is
destined by God.
But in the final
moves of whatever
your losing at, at
the end of the match
your still a loser.
We've all done this
no matter what we
admit too. Being in
the top 3 of your
state and appearing
only in the top 40
of a tournament.
What a joke
the other players
think. Glad I'm not
him, you think they
think. Your gut
tells you your not
responsible for the
outcome, but the
very site of an
other's success
tells you they are
wrong and you were
robbed. Society
tells us we should
say congrats to
those who succeed
and reevaluate the
way we play. We ask
ourselves why
congratulate the
successful, they
know damn well how
well they did. We
are not to blame.
This behavior, this
driving force to win
eventually consumes
us all. For if it
doesn't, this
society will pass
us, and eventually
we will become
nobodies, numbers in
a world full of
them.
Many of you may
never again read
that glycolysis and
B-oxidation (the
pathway for the
breakdown of fatty
acids into acetyl
CoA. The breakdow
of fatty acids
occurs by the
removal of
two-carbon acetate
groups from the
carboxyl end of the
fatty acid.)
must occur at the
same rate for a
steady supply of
pyruvate to conform
to oxaloacetate. In
case some of you are
completely confused
as to where these
words came from I
recommend you read
about Respiration
(C6H12O6 +602
YIelds
6CO2
+ 6H20). The
situation I am
describing deals
with the formation
of Ketone Bodies.
If the supply of
pyruvate (from
glycolysis)
indirectly leads to
a condition where
oxaloacetate is not
being produced in
large enough
quantities to allow
acetyl CoA to enter
the citric acid
cycle/Kreb's Cycle
(the cycle
responsible for the
formation of three
NADH and
one FADH2,which
eventually are
converted to ATP)
a condition known as
Ketosis arises.
This condition is
simply one of
abnormal ketone
bodies. This is the
case because acetyl
CoA unable to enter
the Kreb's Cycle is
converted by the
body into B-hydroxybutyrate,
acetone, and
acetoacetate.
This condition is
the end result of
starvation, a diet
low in
carbohydrates, and
diabetes mellitus
(which basically
starves cells due to
the condition not
allowing
carbohydrates to
enter cells). It
also leads to
an decrease in blood
pH, making it more
acidic then most
cells prefer to
function at.
Now that the
chemistry lesson is
done, I've just
explained to you two
ways (one biological
the other
psychological) how
not enough of
something leads to
devastating
consequences.
- In case some
of my critics are
reading, good
writing should force
people to learn
something new, it
should force people
ask what is he
saying. Good
writing should lead
its readers too a
book/google for
answers.
Cyberdark monsters
are about
everything. These
machines want
nothing to do with
starvation, they
want power, they
want victory. With
this in mind I've
finally believe it
an opportune time to
indulge within
Zane's alter
ego. For cyberdark
is all about
indulgence. May
that be the
absorption of
carbohydrates, or
sweeping a
tournament.

This deck focuses on
utilizing Deck
Devastation Virus
(Crush Card Virus if
I ever get one) as
an end to most of
this formats monster
threats. This card
combined with a
cyberdark
tribute (which
should be done at a
time that costs an
opponent some form
of removal) totally
removes most of the
formats searchers
from the game.
We may like it or
not, but OTK is the
face of this format
as well. DDT may
compete but Demise
is the face of
2007. This deck is
relatively cheap to
build and is more
consistent and
threatening than
Cyber Stein. If we
want to beat these
odds we have to play
either with/against
them. Crush
Card removes most
searchers, thus
forcing an opponent
into drawing the
combo pieces. The
Cyberdark machines
will also smack an
opponent hard, thus
making that 2000 LP
payment a tad harder
to do. If our
opponent sides into
Royal Decree, they
basically commit
suicide when we have
access too 2000 plus
four star monsters.
Utilizing excessive
spell/trap removal
along with a pair of
Shrink almost
ensures the field is
clear for direct
attacks from our
super sized engines
of torture. Cyber
Phoenix is a tool
capable of
preventing targeting
effects. Jinzo aids
in the reduction of
trap threats. But
the real kicker with
this deck is its
ability to summon
Chimeratech
Overdragon.
Cyberdark Dragon can
be used whenever a
2500 (+) attack
monster is needed,
but Overdragon can
end the game. Once
again the s/t
removal almost
guarantees that the
hit needed will
hit. Call of the
Haunted combos with
Card Trooper, Cyber
Phoenix, Sangan
(which basically
allows us to search
our decks
for monsters with
more than 1500
attack), and Jinzo.
Exploder Dragon can
remove threats
not preventable by
our massive
behemoths. This
deck also
packs a
lone copy of
Dragon's Mirror for
late game blow outs
via Five-Headed
Dragon. Future
Fusion, trooper,
Masked Dragon, etc.
all aid in deck
milling, thus 43
cards is not in
excess. I've wanted
to play such a deck
for sometime now,
but it was always
missing something. FOTB's Dweller in
the Depths is what I
needed. The fact
this monster is a 3
star dragon with
1500 attack points
is what caught my
attention.
Many people have
used the Cyberdark
monsters as
tech. Even some
have built dedicated
decks utilizing 1300
three star
weaklings. But 1500
is what pushes these
monsters over the
edge. A 2300 4 star
monster is nothing
to laugh at.
This is a deck that
I am immensely proud
of because it has
the ability to
surprise an opponent
from almost any
angle. It is also a
true example of how
sacrificing others
is beneficial to
some. For the deck,
despite its appeal
and playability is
sad. The entire
focus of it
encompasses around
the death of a
dragon to fuel a
soulless terror. I
guess one could draw
the analogy that
it possess
two-faces, much like
life, just like a
coin!
