Yugiman's Thoughts
Im gonna be
look at a card that has seen more play as of
recently. This card was released in Elemental
Energy. It Top4 near the end of last format and
has made a splash(somewhat) this format. Im
looking at Hydrogeddon. The text of this card is
as follows:
Hydrogeddon Dinosaur/Water 4 Stars ATK 1600/DEF 1000 When this card destroys an opponent’s monster as a result of battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 “Hydrogeddon” from your deck. Now, I'll be the first one to tell you, these can be affective. I ran them basically at beginning of format and won my locals tons of times with them. If you build them right, they can be deadly. The card has to destroy a monster in battle and send it to g/y, afterwards you can special summon 1 more Hydrogeddon and maybe go for the last one. The problem many people have against these is that, they can gain field advantage so quickly, that your opponent may not be able to come back from it, or may have a crappy hand. The crappy thing is that if you get 2 or 3 of them clumped in your hand, it wont be as effective. Once they hit the field and all of them are out, they're basically 1600 vanilla's waiting to be destroyed. They can also come out of deck quick, making your chances of drawing good stuff higher. Sometimes you may wanna run 41-43 cards with them though, just because of it. Running Rush Recklessly's might help out too...bigger attack, and can take out other stuff. I quit using these in main-deck however as imo, they seemed to get clumped too easy and if opponent had good backfield they were crap. However, you may think differently, and Im sure someday I might test them out again. Any suggestions for card reviews, or support/hatemail can be directed to freezergeezer111@hotmail.com. Thanks for looking at my article and hope to hear back from some of you.
