Review: Scapegoat
Every once in awhile, Im left wondering what was the best format? What format was the most skilled? Everyone has their own opinions and Im sure they can back it up. In my opinion though the best format was the Goat Control era. It had the right mix of cards, and truley showed whom was the better player in duels. Eventually Goats was restricted, Ring was banned, BLS was banned...and we're at the format we're in now. Gadgets are out...which will be a strong decktype..but you have to wonder what would happen if one of the cards from the goat control era came back and what kinda impact it would have. The card Im talking about is Scapegoat. I dont understand why this card was restricted in the first place. Probably the whole Morph into TER, Tsukuyomi, and stuff. But it would have been smart for them to ban Metamorphosis. We're in a format where we have Cybers, Zaborgs, Gadgets and we need all the protection we can get. Scapegoats can lend a hand and help out. Essentially they're a -1..unless you have Controllers mained. Sure, they might stall the game out but thats why we have Asura Preist/Airknight Parsath/Controllering them into attack mode, etc. Bringining this card back to 3 next list might encourage players to try different cards other than the regular Zaborg, Thestlos, Gadgets, etc. They arent broken anymore with TER banned, and morph at 1. I know when it got banned, people were unhappy..and it also killed off many other decktypes too. Scapegoat counters tons of decks, and in this format would have been a great answer against Monarchs. It would have let the other opponent maybe mount a comeback in a few turns. If this card goes back to 3, I will be very pleased. I know other people would agree with me...so Mr. Tewart if you read this...take it to mind. Any questions can be directed to freezergeezer111@hotmail.com. Thanks for reading.
