Team Fire & Ice is a Double Threat!
Bryan Camareno a.k.a. DeathJester
May 3, 2005

Hey everyone! I’m back after a little while to bring you a couple new features. First I’ll give you some news about Team Fire & Ice’s performance at Shonen Jump Houston and Clermont, FL Regional Event, then soon during the week my 2 new interviews, info about Gathering Place Games’s new tournament set-up, and a whole new YuGiOh theory article brought to you by yours truly.

Team Fire & Ice’s Clint Tapscott, Steven Shockley, and Alejandro Faraldo made the trip to Texas this past weekend to Shonen Jump Houston. In an impressive performance throughout the day, Clint and Alejandro were breezing through the competition after Round 7 with records of Clint: 7-0 and Alex: 6-1. Steven, unfortunately, dropped and had to move to the Side Events to compete for the second Cyber Stein. Steven ended up getting into Top 4 in the Side Events and losing because apparently you can switch decks in between rounds and his opponent did so. After Round 9, Clint and Alejandro found themselves both at 7-2, missing the Top 8, with Theerasak Poonsombat being the only 7-2 to make into the Top 8. Their final standings were Clint: 13th and Alex: 18th. Great job guys, you made an impressive showing and we’re all proud of you.

As for the Clermont, FL Regional Event, Team Fire & Ice made a very impressive showing. Going into the Top 8, 3 of our members (Me, Aron Yu, and my brother Kevin Camareno) had a superb finish. Bryan Camareno: 3rd Place (5-1), Aron Yu: 7th Place (4-2), Kevin Camareno: 8th Place (4-2). Our manager, Ayami Shockley, barely missed the Top 8 getting 9th Place with a 4-2 record. After the Top 8 was finished our final places were, Bryan Camareno: 2nd Place, Aron Yu: 3rd Place, and Kevin Camareno: 5th Place. By splitting up into two groups our team was able to perform excellently at both events, all together we’re a force to be reckoned with.

Also, Team Fire & Ice has a new member: Blake McKinnis; making our current member total 8. Currently, we are not recruiting anyone for the competitive portion of the team but we are expanding our team into another portion called the Team Fire & Ice Crew. This portion of the team will aid us in our travels, aid us at events, help with rides, help with food, and basically just helping us out as a successful team is difficult to maintain. Anyone interested can check the Team Fire & Ice website at www.fireniceanime.com in the Links section for any additional info. Also if you’re interested in what we do outside of YuGiOh we’ll be posting up photos of us just hanging around doing our thing, just to let everyone know that we’re not just playing YuGiOh all the time, we have lives too! *Laughs* Any other News concerning our team will be posted regularly so anyone can follow our progress. If you have any questions about us write me an email at deathjester86@gmail.com.
