Before I begin the interview I like to thank Pojo
for putting this up.
Pojo Screen Name:

Ally: First things first,
I like to thank you Dave for taking time out of your
life to do this interview. For my first question can
you give the Pojo readers your full name and
describe some unique qualities about yourself?
Dave: My name is David
Piercy, some people might know me better as
Model_Zero. I'm currently living in Richmond, VA.
I am a cook at Cracker Barrel(lol) just trying to
wait for school to start. I really don't have any
unique qualities though. =[
Ally: Awww thats ok. The
readers will still love you ;) hehe. Anywhoo! Can
you tell the readers some of your credentials?
Dave: Well, recently I
haven’t been in the game as often as I would like
but over the past few years I've gotten quite a few
regional wins and top finishes, also placed and won
a couple of cash tournaments, and I have accumulated
a handful of x-2 SJC places. I just haven’t hit the
day two finish (Yet).
Ally: Hopefully one day
you'll hit the day two mark in a Shonen Jump!
Speaking of Shonen Jumps thers a feature match on
metagame with you in it. What Jump (aslo year) was
it and who were you playing?
Dave: I was playing this
guy named Kevin Wang, it was in second Seattle SJC
last year. He got me in time on the bubble, I was
quite disappointed on how it happened, but things
can't always go your way.
Ally: It happens though.
Back to the other half of your credentials aka
regionals. What was your first regional top 8?
Dave: My first regional
top 8 actually came after I won a 1k back right
before the first list came out. Then it hit our
soil and I made some trash and took it to Columbia
SC lost first round, and somehow came back to beat
the "best" person in the meta at that time Wil
Loftis. Let's just say when I activated Horn of
Heaven on his Tribe Infecting Virus, he wasn't too
happy.
Ally: Wow! That was a
long time ago too! How does it feel to be ranked 5th
in VA for all the hard work you have accomplished to
even get that far?
Dave: It's really no big
thing for me I guess. There is a lot of other great
Players in our state like: Tyrome Cox, Matt Ward,
Garon Williams, and Kevin Cavanagh.
Dave: We're all about the same skill wise I guess.
I think any of us could be ranked number 1 if we
cared enough to play every week
Ally: Still though being
ranked top 10 in your own state is pretty
impressive. Oh! I almost forgot to ask wha type of
deck did you run at SJC Seattle last year?
Dave: I actually got the
idea from a pair of friends of mine Mike "Domino"
Powers and Eric "Starwind" Herdzdik; I just changed
a few cards and did my best with it.
Dave: It was a UFO Engine with a set of Cyber
Phoenix. A few other key cards but I can't remember
anymore
Ally: Thats fine. Did you do good, bad, or decent at
Seattle?
Dave: Well like I said, I lost on the bubble in time
in my first feature match. I finished 10th but
honestly I think if anyone read the feature, I
should have top 8ed, obviously not to take anything
away from Kevin Wang.
Ally: I see. Well, I'm well aware of you are on Team
AMP. Can you tell the readers about the team?
Dave: Well I wouldn't really call us a team anymore,
we're just all really good friends that even hang
outside of Yugioh events. We started back about 3
years ago with just a handful of members, but now
we're even International. Like I said though, just
friends that like the have a good time.
Ally: International? What country do ya'll have a
member from?
Dave: We have a member by the name of Ray Jennings
he's from the land of tea. Lol, I haven’t spoken to
him recently though =[
Dave: I almost forgot, we even have a Team Mom. Duy
"BlueD" Bui from team GG (Very close friends of
ours).
Ally: Team Mom? Ooookkk >> Anyways why did ya'll
name yourselves after an Energy Drink?
Dave: Lol it's actually a quite entertaining story,
me and the other "founding" members, were on the
road to a regional one morning. We all were really
tired because none of us slept. We stopped to get
drinks and we all got an Amp. Well 1 hour later we
all had to stop and use the bathroom really
violently if I can say that. Well we thought of a
catchy phrase and we just went with it. Amp-We Run
Through You. Good times.
Ally:
Well that was rather interesting lol. Well, I only
have a few more questions left for you :<. What do
you wish to accomplish this year in Yu-Gi-Oh!?
Dave: I mean, I just
don't want to get sacked at every event I go to. I
mean I really just do want to have a good time but I
wouldn't mind taking a crush home for my team.
Ally:
If you were to give Yu-Gi-Oh! advice to a new kid
that was just now starting the game what would it
be?
Dave: I would just tell
them to play smart and act like a respectable
person. Some people look at the way you act as a
reflection upon you as a player. Play the best
people you can because that's the way you get
better.
Ally:
That’s some really helpful advice and I hope a lot
of new Yu-Gi-Oh! players take it to heart. Well the
interview is done, so here's your chance to say and
last comments and shout outs!
Dave: I want to give a
shout out to my team obviously and all my friends!
Dave: For my last comment I'm going to keep the fad
alive and take a page out of my friend's book Jeff
Jones.
Dave: Yugioh....SERIOUS BUSINESS
