Hi. Its Richard here and here’s my tournament report.

Got up around 8.15 and the tournament started at 10.30. So I had a shower, ate breakfast and my dad drove me there. I got the about 10.15 and signed up. There were only 5 people here this time because there was a regional event about an hour’s drive but I couldn’t go to that. So here’s what happened.

Round One- Me vs Shane Parry
He is the biggest collector. He has like 4 big folders with some of the hardest cards to get. He’s deck was a bit unorthodox, It had like dark ruler ha des, embodiment of opopis, needle worms.

Game 1
Basically I got an early hit with Airknight then he got Jinzo then I somehow got rid of it and he played swords. I just built up my army of monsters and killed him when swords died.

Game 2
He stalled a bit with Thousand-eyes Restrict. We exchanged a couple blows then he ended up winning with a don zaloog.

Game 3
We had 5 minutes left in the round so we just played for 5 minutes without taking any damage, then we had 4 turns each and the person with the highest life points after the 5 turns would win. So I summoned blade knight and a face-down spell and ended. He summoned his own blade knight and killed mine and he set lots of magic and traps. I played heavy storm, summoned Black luster soldier and I kept attacking or removing and I won it.

Round 2- Me vs Lance Im not even going try and pronounce he’s last name.
His decks also a bit unorthodox. Its got gravekeepers, dimension fusion,Dmoc but nonetheless he’s was a good duelist.

Game 1
I got like the worst hand of like 1 monster. I drew into some better things like jinzo. In the middle we just kept exchanging blows. My Jinzo got him for a while but he got rid of it and it went downhill from there.

Game 2
It started well for me with heavy storming his 3 traps. Then I got I hit in with d.d. assailant. Then I got in another hit with d.d. assailant and d.d. warrior lady. I looked like winning from here but then he cyber jared and I got no monsters. Then he flipped his magician of faith got back premature burial and used it on dmoc. Then he used dimension fusion on like heaps of monsters and I lost.

Round 3 Me vs My Dad(gundy)
My dad has only just started but he’s got some really good cards. He runs a beast deck. I have a slight advantage over him because I created his deck

Game 1
He had a bit of field advantage but when I got Jinzo and Lightning Vortex on the field it was downhill for him.

Game 2
He beat me down quickly with enraged Battle oxe’s and berserk gorillas. The only Damage he took was from his delinquent duo.

Game 3
He quickly got out enraged battle oxe’s when all I had was scapegoats. I kept destroying his battle oxe’s but then he kept calling the back and prematuring them. I finally got Black luster soldier out and he had nothing so I won

Round 5 (last round) Me vs Alex
This kid just started and he was using a water structure deck. Both games he never even touched my life points

Game 1
I had like everything to counter his cards. I like summoned black luster soldier on turn 2 and killed him with that and some other monsters.

Again I had like everything to counter his moves. I got an early hit with d.d. assailant. Then I got a hit with sangan. Then I just built up my army and annihilated him.

Overall it was an alright day but I wish there were more people. Also after the tournament I traded lance my Senju of the thousand hands, tsukuyomi and cyber jar for his Brain Control which was pretty cool.

Helping the tournament organizer afterwards and getting a free Booster pack.

Getting crap in my Prize packs.
Not many people there.
