This was a small school tournament and the only players who actually stood a
chance were my
group of friends anyway. I think there were 6 of us. The other 8 ran plain
"beatdown" with 1800
to 1850 attack monsters. Those guys were actually just getting rid of their
Change of Hearts
just before the tournament.

Round 1: Me vs Cally
Cally was not in the "friend" group so you can guess that he ran a beatdown.
The only card I
actually saw him use was a Harpie's Bother because everything else he played
facedown.

Duel 1:
He summoned Harpie's Brother and set 2 cards. I played Level Limit Area B
and he had a bad look
on his face. He loaded his field with facedown cards and played a Dian Keto.
I just slowly drew
my combo and he died.
Me: 8000
Cally: 8000 - 9000 - Last Turn

Duel 2:
He gave up this one before it began.

Round 2: Me vs Berkley
Berkley is actually part of the commitee that hosted this tournament and is
also part of the
"friend" group. He uses a Warrior deck mixed in with some of his favourite
monsters. He
usually beats my normal attacknig based decks so I was a bit worried.

Duel 1:
I drew Last Turn combo second turn and that was game.
Me: 8000
Berkley: 8000 - Last Turn

Duel 2:
I had no monsters so I only set a Gravity Bind and a Jar of Greed. I also
left some Solemn
Judgments in my hand. He summons the powerful Sangan so I took a hit of 1000
LP. I drew and set
a Magical Merchant and also set my Solemn Judgement. He plays Exiled Force
and I use Solemn. He
attacks and I pick up a Last Turn. I drew and set a Mask of Darkness. He
plays Warrior Returning
Alive and I use Solemn. He attacks with Sangan, I get back Solemn. I drew. I
played Swords of
Revealing Light. I set Solemn. I drew nothing good for the next 3 turns and
he just killed me
with Sangan.
Me: 8000 - 7000 - 3500 - 1750 - 875 - 437 - 0
Berkley: 8000

Duel 3:
Last Turn third turn.
Me: 8000
Berkley: 8000 - Last Turn

Round 3: Me vs Jonathan
He was an ok player with a very shiny deck. It was Cyber Dragon / Chaos. He
also belonged to
the "friend" group and he usually beats me.

Duel 1:
I had Last Turn very quickly but but he Ceasefire'd me. Argh...
Me: 8000 - 5900 - 900 - Last Turn Backfired
Jonathan: 8000

Duel 2:
He had Royal Decree since turn number one so my Last Turn combo was stuck in
my hand. I stalled
for a long time with lucky draws but not lucky enough because Giant Trunade
came one turn too
late.
Me: 8000 - 6100 - 4000 - 2100 - 200 - 0
Him: 8000

Round 4: Me vs Allen
This round was to decide 3rd place. I already beaten him in a casual duel
while we were waiting
and he came back from the consolation round. Because of the time, we only
played one duel. He
used a Ben Kei deck.

Duel 1:
On fourth turn he flipped Cyber Jar and I got both Wall of Revealing Light
and Jowgen. He played
a Swords of Revealing Light and ended. I drew and set my Gravity Bind. I
left a Solemn Judgment
in my hand. Next turn he used Giant Trunade and Ben Kei'd me. Man, I
should've set my Solemn
Judgement. I would've drawn Last Turn next turn too. Argh...
Me: 8000 - 7200 - 0
Allen: 8000

So I got 4th place and sadly, only 1st, 2nd and 3rd place get prizes.
Luckily, the prize packs
were all pretty bad anyway. Yeah, I'm mean.

Props:
- ate sour cream and onion chips. I really like that flavour.
- took 2 free commons from the winners. Hey, commons rock.

Cons:
- used up $2
- got beaten because of a mistake I made
