Hello Lord Tranorix, how ya doin.
This is LeviaCaptain her'
So I feel like giving a tip
Building the "I Hate BLS" Warrior Deck
Now I'm not going to give a decklist here, but I will
include suggestions on different cards, essential and
supportive, for a non-chaos Warrior deck.
The first card we will talk about today is: MARAUDING
CAPTAIN. The soon to-be DB2 rare from LOD, now a $15 Ultra,
is essential to run 2 (it's semi-limited) in any pure
warrior deck. Although it is weak, it can provide excellent
LP control later in the duel How to Use: DO NOT start off
the duel summoning him. The use of this card is LATER IN THE
DUEL when you have a clear field. You should already have a
monster, so summon this, and then attack with all 3.
DON ZALOOG is one of my personal favorites, and used to own
games back in the PGD/DCR days. He has a good 1400 ATK and
an awesome effect. He isn't a necessity, but he will help.
HOW TO USE: Summon to Attack or destroy a monster.
BLADE KNIGHT is also a very cool card because it is LV4,
with a probable 2000 ATK AND a good effect. Unfortunately,
you need an empty monster field to get his MS LV2 effect,
which leads us to our next card...
MYSTIC SWORSMAN LV2 is very handy dandy despite its low ATK
power, but can save your ass from Cyber Jars, Morphing Jars,
and MoF's that will bring back a card that owned you earlier
in the game. If not Main-decked Side at least 1.
HOW TO USE: Counter Top-Decking opponents setting stuff with
this.
FREED THE MATCHLESS GENERAL is an optional but good card for
the oppurtunity. Also an LOD Ultra, it comes in handy on
occasion, but only in a pure warrior deck. Don't run more
than one.
GOBLIN ATTACK FORCE and ZOMBYRA THE DARK take out nasty
cards such as Berserk Gorilla, Berserk Gorilla, Kycoo the
Ghost Destroyer, Airknight Parshath, D.D. Survivor, etc.
that other Warrior's cannot. They also provide field
control. I prefer GAF, IMO.
HOW TO USE: Summon Zombyra if your opponents has a monster
stronger than all of yours. GAF can attack directly, and can
be sacked for Freed of Jinzo or something later.
MATAZA THE ZAPPER is the best double attacker in the game,
gets under burn regulations, and is a Dark Warrior. He owns
open fields. Consider running 1 or 2.
HOW TO USE: On an open field. Equip this dude.
COMMAND KNIGHT powers up your monsters, and can't be killed
when you have other monsters. Run 1-2.
HOW TO USE: Summon him via Marauding Captain late-game.
D.D. ASSAILANT and D.D. WARRIOR LADY kick butt as they both
have a field clearing effect. Run 2 (they are basically the
same card in non-chaos).
HOW TO USE: Set one on the first turn if you draw one, or if
you are topdecking.
Onto Ze Magics
FUSION SWORD MARUSAME BLADE is a simple equip to use as, it
can ONLY be destroyed when the monster equipped is
destroyed, so you don't really have to worry about the fact
that its a Equip. I suggest giving this thing to a Mataza.
Its optional, but if you run Mataza, run 1-2 of these.
REINFORCEMENTS OF THE ARMY is simple. You get ANY LV4
Warrior in your deck you want. To your hand. Run 2.
HOW TO USE: Play it if you draw it.
THE WARRIOR RETURNING ALIVE helps in suicidle decks and
decks in which you see your monsters just keep dying! It
depends on your Meta.
HOW TO USE: If you have a Graveyarded monster that is useful
in the situation, bring it back!
BOOK OF MOON+NOBLEMAN OF CROSSOUT is definitly a combo you
want to use in a Warrior deck, because Warriors are known
for their OTK on an open field. And maybe even splash
Tsukuyomi. If you're running Donny, Mataza, and Blade
Knight, these are musts.
HOW TO USE: See above sentence, play versus opposing monster
in attack or F/D or BoM your own Flipper.
There are no real Warrior Based Traps that will actually
help competitive decks, and most people know the staples.
Now here's what NOT to run:
SANGAN isn't really necessary because RotA does the work for
you, and better.
TORRENTIAL TRIBUTE is a card you should probably Side
because you will mostly have field control most of the time.
SCAPEGTOATS you might as well side, unless you are morphing,
which is really weird.
LIGHTNING VORTEX you shouldn't even side. Your opponent is
just going to be setting and stuff, so you won't need this.
CYBER JAR... see Torrential Tribute
So there you have it folks. If you want to see my attempt at
warrior swarm decks, just check out the link in my sig, I'm
around the forums a lot. Anyway, thanks for getting this
far.
