Different deck idea - Mindbadger
From: Vee Freir <vee@tullichwood.fsnet.co.uk>
Date: Tue, 19 Jul 2005 12:17:23 +0100
Hey all, just wanted to give out an interesting (in my
opinion) deck idea. First of all, I am giving this out
because I have no-one else to play with (boohoo!), and I
just thought people might like to try the deck out and see
if it works. A bit sad I know, but thats not important, I
like thinking of strategies and decks and stuff. It does it
for me. Anyway, on to the deck idea.
The whole deck revolves around one card, Begone, Knave! an
underrated card, but only for this deck. It basically says,
when a monster inflicts battle damage, it is returned to the
hand of its owner. This has several ramifications. 1.
Tribute monsters mean major card disadvantages, if they only
get one attack (apart from Jinzo, but thats what monster
removal is for). 2. more clear fields. This means the game
could turn into a slogging match. But as you made the deck,
you have the advantage. Several monsters, which would
otherwise have drawbacks, are meant for this deck. Goblin
Attack Force is now a 2300 attacker every turn. Granadora
will now give you 1000 life every turn while hitting for
1900. If your opponent tries to be clever, setting monsters
or playing scapegoat, just hit them every turn with a Spear
Dragon, they'll soon regret it! The only monster which they
have in their decks, usually, that will benefit from this is
Breaker, which you will have too, which will be continuous
m/t destruction. If they want a slogging match, fine, you're
ready for it. Pack in a few Kuribohs, and you'll be
laughing. They'll only be able to summon BLS a limited
number of times before it's stuck in their hand.
Also, an important factor of cards returning to your hand is
that your hand size will increase. This makes it easier to
use all those cards which make you discard. The cost won't
seem so bad when your hand is getting bigger. This makes
cards like Magic Jammer (just an example) a reality, to
protect your Begone, Knave! on the field
I'm pretty sure this deck would work well against the
current meta, countering chaos, scapegoats and the like, I'd
be happy if someone gave it a shot and told me how it works
in reality, as opposed to my mind.
Hope this is helpful, any replies, send them to
