My Thoughts on the Ban List - TheDungeonMaster

Some of the other writers are writing about it, so I decided to chime in too.

These cards I want to see banned. There in no real order.

Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning

Do I really need to say anything?


Part II: Limited Cards:

These next few cards I like to see limited.


Brain Control

It’s not like Change of Heart or anything, but it needs to be limited. I hate to see all sorts of n00bs running these things like crazy, or do as Yugi does in the anime… I got 2, one in each of my decks. That’s all I need it for. But think about it: Your opponent takes like some of your best monsters at once … There is no need to say more.

Royal Decree

Think about it. It’s in 2 Tournament packs, it’s in DB2, and it’s going to be a COMMON!!! I’m already shivering because of the n00bs. We already got one of my personal favorites, Jinzo, we don’t need this running around.

Vampire Lord

Most of the others agree, two of these guys is just too much. I’ll leave it at that.

Spirit Reaper

I was a little iffy about putting this down, but I realized that if you don’t Nobleman it, it’s trouble. I defeated one of my friends who used this with my Spear Dragons, but Nobleman would be the best way to get rid of it. Face up = trouble.

Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer

I personally don’t got anything wrong with him, but he’s getting wild. I’m getting tired of beating him and having him remove some of my cards from play because of him. He should be restricted to one, if not two.

Semi-Limited
These cards I like to see semi-limited.

Scapegoat

It’s got some what good play, and even though I haven’t really seen this use over two, I’d like to keep it that way. It’s too risky to use it against a Cannon Soldier.

Mystical Space Typhoon

Just with all the Spells and Traps out there, we need this. Look at Dark Paladin’s review of this to see what I think. I mainly follow him.


The only card I like to see off the list is Makyura the Destructor. He’s really awesome :-D.
