# of Duelists: 16
*Sits back in chair* *Sigh* I just can't accurately tell you
how great today at the tourney was. It all started rather
sourly though. I had made my Warrior deck previously to be a
Chaos-Warrior before I came to the tourney, because I was
supposed to trade this guy a Magical Thorn for BLS (He had
extra's and he needed MT). I was also going to trade my
Gearfried the Swordmaster for DMoC and Dedication through
Light and Dark. Well, they both didn't happen. The guy
didn't know, and didn't really care (it seemed like), that
he did something to the DMoC and DTLD. He also didn't get in
BLS like he said he would. So now I had a Chaos deck without
Chaos monsters >_<. Luckly, I had my Goblin and DD Assailant
with me and switched those out with 2 MoF's, and I was
pretty much ready with a great deck anyway, but I was still
very very peeved that the deals didn't go through. Anyway:

MATCH #1: Alex's Warriors vs. Devon's General Deck
We got here late tonight, so we got paired up together, but
that's ok.
Duel #1: He only got one 1200 hit on me the entire duel. I
only hit him 3 times and just got him good. I think it was
Blade Knight that did it for me this time. D. D. Assailant
and Zombyra carried me also. Not much but beatdown in this
duel. WIN.
Me: 8000-6800
Devon: 8000-6300-3000-0
Duel #2: I really didn't do so well this time. His Chiron
the Mage really stomped me. It killed my Swords, and I
really didn't have anything to help me after that. My
monsters I drew weren't helping me, and I think SS was the
only monster i had for a few turns near the end. Bad luck
here, but Devon is great with this deck if it flows for him.
LOSS.
Me: 8000-7500-5700-3900-0
Devon: 8000-5800
Duel #3: This was not a good duel for him. I played Mataza
on the first turn, and then set two cards. He forgot about
Mataza's Anti-stealing effect, and played Snatch Steal. The
judge wouldn't let him retract the play, and he didn't have
anything else to do, probably because of a hand clogged with
Tributes. I basically attacked directly for the next two
turns to win. It's almost like he gave up, because he didn't
play a single card after he made that mistake. Oh well, next
time, he's using his Zombie deck, so he'll be getting some
revenge. WIN.
Me: 8000-9000-10,000
Devon: 8000-6700-4100-0
MATCH #2: Alex's Warriors vs. Alan's Thunder Dragon Deck
Duel #1: I started off Ringing his Breaker. He, a few turns
later, played Soul Absorption, and used it when he attacked
my DDA with his THTD, gaining him 1000. He hit two more
times, but it didn't matter, my warriors were just far too
much for him. one massive hit, and then a hit with a
powered-up BK, and it was pretty much over. WIN.
Me: 8000-6400-5300-3600
Alan: 8000-6400-7400-3100-1100-0
Duel #2: I hit him once with Blade Knight, powered-up by A.
Forces, and then he came back with THTD and killed it. Next
turn, I play Premature Burial on Blade Knight, use RoTA to
get and play another Blade Knight, and then SS his THTD.
6800. WIN.
Me: 8000-7000-6200
Alan: 8000-6200-0
MATCH #3: Alex's Warriors vs. Marcus's Monsters
Duel #1: He mostly used Thousand Eyes Restrict on me after
getting it out early on. I don't remember quite how, but
this duel lasted a while. I remember removing his TER from
play with DDWL after he attacked it instead of sucking it
up, and after that, he was stalling for a while, but luckly
I had 400 more LP's than him when time ran out, so I won
this one. WIN.
Me: 8000-7500-6800-5300-3800
Marcus: 8000-7900-6400-3400-TIME
Duel #2: This one went pretty quick. He didn't get any hits
on me, and I swarmed him. Blade Knight got the first hit,
and then I got a 400 hit, then a massive strike to win. WIN.
Me: 8000
Marcus: 8000-6400-6000-0
MATCH #4: Alex's Warriors vs. Andrew's Spellcasters (Final
Round)
Duel #1: Oh Fiber Jar, how I hate thee! He was used at least
2 or 3 times in the first duel alone. We just kept bashing
each other around for a while. Skilled Dark didn't really
hurt me, as I BoM/Nobleman'd it. Guess I should have done it
to Tribe instead >_>. Anyway, we both got down to 2200, then
I hit him with Blade knight. Time was called, so I ended my
turn to end the duel. WIN.
Me: 8000-7500-5400-4200-2200
Andrew: 8000-6500-3000-2200-600-TIME
Duel #2: Much of the same here, cept he got Silent Swordsman
LV5 on me, but it was easily dealt with (exiled). Time limit
lost me this duel though. LOSS.
Me: 8000-6300-5300-4900-3700-2500-TIME
Andrew: 8000-7900-6900-6700-3900
Duel #3: He just didn't get anything really. I got two
direct 2000 Blade Knight hits in early on, like the first
few turns into it. He managed to fight back some with a
ceasefire at the end, but only after I had him beat. Nothing
of a challenge in this duel. WIN.
Me: 8000-6400-5600-4100
Andrew: 8000-7700-5700-3700-0
FINALLY! This is the first time I've ever won the tourney,
and it feels great! After getting my 6 FET packs and 1
crappy TP5 pack, I did some major trading. The first two
trades here are with the store owner, the ones after are
from other people:
My: DB1 Ceasefire and Vampire Genesis
For: MRL Delinquent Duo (RIP!)
My: Swordmaster Gearfried
For: Dark Magician of Chaos, Dedication Through Light and
Dark
Alan traded me next:
My: Magical Thorn
For: Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of The Beginning (He
really needed MT, and he had an extra Envoy. This is a
different guy from the deal I mentioned at the start)
Then, another guy, who I can't quite remember the name of,
did this one:
My: TP4 Morphing Jar
For: Marauding Captain
Then, Devon traded with me:
My: Lightning Vortex (from 1 of the packs I got tonight)
For: Breaker the Magical Warrior (It was really mine to
begin with, but I wanted an excuse to give him the LV, since
I want him to get better cards and do good, and I already
had 1)
Well, this was definitely the single most successful night
at the tourney I've ever had, bar none. Now I can finally
use a Chaos deck, and still keep the warrior element in it.
I might trade Devon for his Parshaths and try to make a
Chaos-Warrior-Morph deck or something, maybe? Also, I'm
going to a WWE event tomorrow, since it takes place here in
columbia, it'll be with the RAW roster, and I'm glad since
it's my fav. I'll even write a bit about that next week!
Pro's:
+ Every great trade I got tonight, thanks to everyone who
traded with me, your all great people
+ For winning the entire tourney
+ Just for the entire night of great stuff
Con's:
- Devon not getting further into the tourney (but I would've
lost then, so...)
- The start of the night, when both of those superb trades
broke >_<
