Subject: Relinquished Chaos with Phoenix-At Collectors
Corners, Oakland - Lizz
This week I went to Collectors Corners instead of the
Baeball game because I have had enough of watching my
friends team lose. Anyway I was using a Relinquished
Chaos/Phoenix deck. It worked somewhat good for its first
trial and error in tournament.
Here it is.
Monsters=19
3xReliquished
3xManju of the Thousand Hands
2xMagician of Faith
1xApprentice Magician
1xSangan
1xSinister Serpent
1xTribe-Infecting Virus
1xBreaker the Magical Warrior
1xHand of Nephthys
2xMobius the Frost Monarch
1xSacred Phoenix of Nephthys
1xBlack Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning
1xMagical Merchant
Spells/Magic=17
3xMetamorphosis
2xScapegoat
1xLightning Vortex
1xSnatch Steal
1xPremature Burial
1xPot of Greed
1xGraceful Charity
1xDelinquent Duo
1xHeavy Storm
1xMystical Space Typhoon
3xContract of the Abyss
1xMonster Reincarnation
Traps=4
1xRing of Destruction
1xTorrential Tribute
1xMirror Force
1xCall of the Haunted
The entry fee was $5.00, so I entered the first tourney and
didn't do so well.
Round 1
Me Vs. WMC Burn
Match 1
At first I thought he used some Beatdown deck but later
sadly I was mistakened and he swepped me with 2 WMC doing
2000 and 6000 to end the match.
I side decked in all my anti-Burn, such as Barrel behind the
door and Jinzo, not enough i guess.
Match 2
I got a good hand he got nothing you know who wins. My side
deck didn't even show up so I really don't how it does
against him.
Match 3
He started fast while i started slow. In fact I was
conservative to keep my MST and Mobius only when he got WMC.
Well when he did i activated MSt, which he activated Magic
Jammer, then I summoned Mobius and destroyed his f/d gravity
bind and WMC. That wasn't enough cause he got Lava Golem and
I took a steady stream of 1000 damage every turn from
Stealth Bird not Golem because I used Devine wrath on it. I
lose
So I got elimanated in the first round and waited for the
other tournament to happen. The second tournament also cost
$5.00. So I got ready and I faced some guy that was wearing
a Trailblazers T-Shirt.
Round 1
Me Vs. some deck
Match 1
He stalled with Roulette barrel and didn't get the dice
rolls, so i just waited for Relinquished to come and it did
which i took his monster sacrificed Relinquished for mobius
(remember Ritual summon is not considered normal summon) and
got rid of his 2 F/D cards adn then Summoned BLS for the
win. I felt bad for using BLS but thats just the way
tournaments go.
Match 2
same as first except he did dismal damage with Jinzo, but
again I took it with Thousand Eyes Restrict and then got
Relinquished, absorbed his other monster and kept on
attacking for the game.l
There was a long pause between my first and second round
because the guy that beat me in the first round of the
previous tourney was waiting for the right time to strike
and burn his opp. to win.
Round 2
Me Vs. WMC Burn
Match 1
He forgot to take out his sidedeck and thats what did him
in.
Match 2
Again he forgot to put DDuo back in his deck from match 1.
Apparently that screwed him up and I took control with
Relinquished and Manju. he did summon Lava golem but I soon
got rid of it by offering it for Contract of the abyss and
took control from there. when I got out Mobius+Heavy Storm
in 2 consecutive turns thats what pretty much did him in. So
I win the tourney and get 6 packs and get crap from them. Oh
well its the win that counts not the prize.
After the tourney my friend and I bought some cards and he
got Breaker the Magical Warrior for $30 while I got 2
Monster Reincarnation for $20 and quickly added them to my
deck.
Props
winning the tourney (duh)
facing against a great burn deck
having no teams at the store
people who did trades with me.
Slops
crappy packs
luck, which ends most games or wins them (not fair)
I guess thats it. |
