Subject: Dragons Fury Tournament Report by ThEoRiGiNaLdRaGoNmAsTa ( aka Robby )

hey pojo! long time no write. Well with my deck making finals two times in a row i decided to go for another shot at the win! o and the tx tourney on nov 5th is gonna be awesome all that can come must come and take on tx's best.
on other notes epic dragons is coming out friday so that's good for me and thedci finally updated my ranking and for only playing for 3 months with no major events im 60th in tx. i moved up 33 spots since the last update. the tx tournie will be my first actual event. but anyway on to the tournament!

well thats the deck as of right now after next set MAJOR revision so hopefully no one will expect what im concocting.

Round 1-
about 16 players showed up today so good things! and like 4 em wern't even there.

Me ( Robby, Dragons ) vs Eric ( mono water )

Game 1-
eric normally switches between decks, sometimes controll sometimes rush sometimes mono water. today he played mono water. well he starts tryin to hit my sheilds early as mono water really should do, but burst shot messed him up good. after that there was really no real big come back i had built up enough mana for his bounce not to be able to handle. paladin and lancer never had a chance to hit the feild thanks to bazagazeal dragon. after handling his monsters i bolmeteused him to death.

Game 2-
repeat of game one, this time i set a burst shot and he gets me down to zero sheilds. a paladin his the feild but runs smack dab into a terror pit and dies immediatly. so i once again bolmeteus him to death.

Round 2-

Me ( Robby, Dragons ) vs Brad ( control ) ahh yes standard control, brad has never lost a tournament when he uses his control deck, i dono why its just so friggin good. so i expected to lose. i have actually never beaten brad.

Round 1-
i pull bolzard on him, and he doesn't get much use out of his sheilds. he does kill it tho, he brings out a thrash crawler and i decide not to atk for one turn hoping to get something useful in my draw but no luck, so i decide to suicide my bolzard into thrash crawler putting him another turn behind, i eventually mass the weenies and take the win.

Round 2-
he has complete control of this match, i make a shody attempt of a come back but with no success he has complete control and went unmatched.

Round 3-
much much closer. well as usualy i am losing. i have ZERO sheilds again. i don have my blockers because the both in the mana zone. that blows. well i was able to kill one pyrofighter , but he still had two left in his deck, and not a whole lot of deck left. well i am scared to atk as to give hima pyrofighter. so i leave his sheilds be. so he keeps drawing i keep cringing every time he draws. i FINALLy muster up courage to atk and take the win. he has two modified sheilds ones a bluff and the other is a terror pit. i take the match. we look for where his pyro's were and they were three turns away.
PHEW!

Round 3!

Me ( Robby, Dragons ) vs Gordon ( initiate )
gordon is one of the few who actually are dedicated to an original deck and
i admire that, he's the one who really put my deck were it is today, he gave
me my blue suggestion and ever since that faithful day i've been usin em.
he's goin to L.A so his deck hasta be awesome lets see how my faithful
dragons do.

Duel 1 - well i gotta say my dragons were being faithful, they all decided
to show up in my hand. two bolmeteus a bazagazeal and bolzard and apocalypse
vice. WEE a hand of CRAP! well maybe a coco lupia can turn it around and
make it a good hand. well that doesn't happen i draw into more higher
costing cards, and well i don play anything until turn 6. well by the time
of my demise he has two valkyrie on the feild well he hits my last two
sheilds with one of em and a lucky terror pit appears and kills one. then on
my turn a vice kills the other one. MAYBE I CAN MAKE A COMEBACK! i didnt he
makes a same turn evo to kick my ass.

Duel 2 - MUCH better hand. i do well controling his feild, and i handle
those mist rias' perfectly to where i can take a win with bolmeteus.

Duel 3-
ok this game was real friggin close it gave me that sick feeling in my
stomach. i hate and love these games. well i have no sheilds but i do have
two blockers, but what are blockers when they're tapped? so i was VERY
careful on destroying his initiates. one crazed val and im done for. well on
a turn full of weenies i decide to go for the kill AFTER i kill his
monsters. i knew one holy awe and if was game or so i thought. i hit a
sheild and BLAM holy awe. i was like DAMNIT IMA LOSE! but he can't pull an
evo off thanks to bolzard dragon burning his mana, god i love that card.
well on the next turn i decide to go for it again, and this time. NO HOLY
AWE!
damn that was close.

Record

pretty good!

Round 4-
Intentional Draw.
well just like last week David Woodward and i both go undefeated and decide
to do an Intentional draw. so we were both gauranteed for finals!

heres how finals went:
1. Robby
2. David
3. Brad
4. Eric

yay i went in as first again! but as we all know, goin in as first isn't
always everything.

Finals Round 1-

Me ( Robby, Dragons ) vs. Eric ( mono water )
well eric squeezed his way into finals barely but he did it!

Duel 1-
it was much like our previous duel i get out bolmeteus' and i hit two
sheilds, well he splashed in holw awe's and i hit one with another one of my
monsters and it hits one, so uh oh. well he draws and HE almost had enough
for hulcus then paladin but he only had 6 mana, real close match.

Duel 2-
much easier on my part. the victory go smoothley without much resistance.

well woodward beats brad 2-0 and its now brads official first lose with his
deck.

Finals Round 2-
well woodward and i finally actually hafta face eachother in the tournament.
so the duel starts

Me ( Robby, Dragons ) vs. David Woodward ( Survivors )

Duel 1-
i handle his survivors well with mass destruction and taken out all his
factory shells with discard then a great lost soul puts me for the 1st win.
bolmeteus takes all his sheilds.

Duel 2-
i coudln't handle the survivors, well i never used my previous strategies
that i could win with from him, and that is to aggro him, i screwed up and
tried to control him which of course doesn't work against survivors. well he
gets the survivors going and its over for me.

Duel 3-
ahhh the last match, u would expect it to be a really close match, but it
really isn't woodward does a good job and destroys me promptly with
survivors.

well 2nd place is really good and its about time someone OTHER than brad won
but to bad it wasn't me. o well i got a few new promos and a few packs but i
din pull anything worth mentioning. so all and all it was a good tournie.
next week ill be typing a report for the Epic Dragons of Hyper Chaos
