Round 1 "Rob" 0-0
Played some new kid who had Rageki, Dark Hole, and Monster
Reborn.
Still played versus the kid and won but called over a judge
to fix his deck.
1st Duel
ME 8000,7700
Rob 8000,6400,3000,0
2nd Duel
Me 8000, 7900, 6500
Rob 8000, 4700, 1300, 0
Round 2 1-0
Cant remember this fellows name, but he played very well one
of only 4
to beat me in one duel.
Duel 1
Me 8000
Fellow 8000, 4100, 1800, 0
Duel 2
Me 8000, 7700, 2800, 1800, 200, 0
Fellow 8000, 6400, 4800, 4000
Duel 3
Me 8000, 6400, 4100, 3300
Fellow 8000, 7400, 6600, 4900, 2600, 0
Round 3 2-0 Table 6
Playing this guy is a little vague since I was watching some
local duelists play
at the table beside mine rather than play the duel I was in.
1st Duel
Me 8000, 7800, 6800, 5300
Guy 8000, 7800, 7600, 6100, 4600, 2900, 0
2nd Duel
Me 8000, 6400, 5600, 2600
Guy 8000, 6100, 3500, 1900, 0
Round 4 3-0 "Tyler" Table 10
I was surprised I had gone 3-0 since last regional I went to
I went 2-4, but this time I was using an experimental deck.
This time I was dueling Tlyer, like almost all the players I
played
he ran Chaos/"fill in the blank" type of deck.
Duel 1
Me 8000, 6400, 4800, 4500, 2300
Tyler 8000, 6400, 4800, 2400, 700, 0
Duel 2
Me 8000
Tyler 8000, 5600, 4000, 2400, 0
Round 5 4-0 "Evan" Table 3
This time around I was playing the previous winner of the
regional
Evan who went 10-0 last time around, but I wasnt intimidated
at all since
I knew unless someone was going to pull a god hand I would
have a
very solid chance to win since skill is what is victorious
in the long
run. I have to give props to Evan since he is great duelist
and no at all rude
unlike what he appears to be on pojo's forums.
Duel 1
Me 8000, 6100, 4500
Evan 8000, 6100, 5100, 4300, 3300, 900, 0
Duel 2
Me 8000, 7000, 6200, 6000
Evan 8000, 7800, 6200, 2100, 400, 0
Round 6 5-0 Table 1
Cant remember this dude's name but he is was the only player
that during the
duel I was worried about losing or rather wasnt sure of the
outcome. He started
out playing spear dragon which threw me off since I hadnt
seen anyone else running
in trample besides me, and also he ran with upstart goblins
which threw me off even more.
Duel 1
Me 8000, 7700, 6700, 4800, 5800, 2400, 3400
Dude 8000, 6100, 2700, 0
Duel 2 (sided out for bottomless trapholes)
Me 8000, 7800, 7600, 7100, 8100, 7800, 5900, 4000, 3000,
1100, 0
Dude 8000, 7000
Duel 3 (at this point I was wondering if I was going to
lose)(kept bottomless in)
Me 8000, 6100, 4300, 2400, 3400
Dude 8000, 6400, 3500, 2000, 0
Round 7 6-0 Table 1
At this point I was on my way to the top eight no matter
what the outcome.
Odd thing is that this very same player I would play in the
final 2.
I lost the lp totals for this round but I beat him in both
duels.
Round 8 Final 8 "Evan" 7-0 (top seed)
This time around I was playing versus Evan again but who
ever won this round
was going to get a nationals invite. This was actual a very
casual duel since
the judge that at our table was a local player he actual
kept track of lp, so
I dont have the lp record, but I won the first duel(sided
for Compulsory Evacuation Devices)
I lost the second duel, and at this point I settled down and
played a real duel.
Round 9 Final 4 8-0
This player had great deck but he started with some bad
starting hands which led
to some easy pickings but he was already had a national
invite, so I wish GL
to him at nationals.
Duel 1
Me 8000, 4000 due to a 4000 wave motion cannon
Player 8000, 6500, 4000, 2500, 0
Duel 2
Me 8000, 7900
Player 8000, 6500, 4600, 1300 , Scoop
Round 10 Final Round 9-0
Well this was it final round, but the odd thing was that
this was same
player from round 7 I played and in this match the only
prize for winning was
extra points and boasting rights to being the regional champ
and
since each player recieved the same prize.
Duel 1
Me 8000
Player 8000, 6600, 5200, 1800, 0
Duel 2 (sided for Compulsory Evacuation Devices)
Me 8000, 7900, 6500, 5500, 2000, 1200
Player 8000, 6500, 5500, 3600, 0
Thats was it was all over I had gone 10-0 which an amazing
improvement over
2-4 of the previous regional.
In the end I was amazed to have gone the whole tourney and
not played versus
a Cyber Dragon or a Royal decree and saw a morphing jar flip
but once. Perhaps it was
luck that won me my duels or rather the lack of it for
opposing players, but in most my
duels I never drew a piece of the trinity, so I believe
skill prevailed in the end.
My deck isnt anything special perhaps with a way minior
changes to the standard CCCC.
Props
For God giving me the patience and the wisdom to win
Going 10-0
Enraged Battle Ox and Exarion Universe which love running
over goats
Compulsory Evacuation Device for being a great counter to
TER
Chaos Sorcerer (does wonders and gives me another chaos
piece)
Pulling a Cyber Twin Dragon...
Nationals Invite (muhaaaa...... be afraid)
A Cool Regionals Playmate (I was offered a Phoenix and 2
Enemy Controls for it, but
I am going to keep it)
Flops
None really perhaps a few plays I made but overall I did
very well with few mistakes.
