Phoenix control Khurram Mohammad County hotel London



This tourney looked pretty big about 20 people arrived, 2 of my friends came along for the trip. The entrance fee was £5.00 and of course I had to register with UDE for a third time since I am always misplacing my UDE card^^;



Anyway while waiting for the next 10 minutes they were selling boosters so I bought a couple of elemental energy and Dr1 boosters hoping to pull some useful cards to make final adjustments. Now this was a bit tricky. First pack I pulled a jacks knight and some darkworld stuff and second pack I pulled a super B.E.S Tetran. So I guess it was ok, I forgot what I got in the DR1 packs but I remember I got an ojama green, a wave motion cannon and a sakuretsu armour in one of them. The sakuretsu is what I was hoping for^^. There were these two guys called phillip and Michael, they were definitely solid Japanese yugioh players. Michael was the older of the two and had basically all the same rares that I have.



Well the first round was like this:



Me versus phillip



This round was a bit dodgy, him pulling out reshef the dark being half way through the match. He took my mystic lvl 2 and blasted my f/d mystic tomatoe, I got my mystic lvl two back, Now I cant remember what happened but I think a snatch steal, mobius and sacred phoenix pretty much ended him. The match went like this twice and me with a 2-0 advantage I decided to side deck for fun, I put in a metamorphosis and airknight. This match was funny, I got out airknight and morphed it into reaper on the nightmare for fun and ended it.



I win with 3-0



Round 2:



Me versus toon deck guy



This guy was running a really good toon deck, it was surprisingly good, he had some d.d. assailants and a tsukuyomi splased in. He somehow won the first round with a big hit on my spirit reaper that I forgot to switch to defence. Now me at a -1 to him decided to go more on the offence since his annoying toons chipped off a lot of my lp from direct attacks, this match I remember I stalled with messenger of peace and I finished him with a topdecked mobius that I bought out, knocked out his f/d sakuretsu and toon world which destroyed all his toons and I win. Second match I had a great hand, I MST his f/d torrential, bring out cyber dragon, brain control and then hand of nephthys. I pretty much finished this match quick



Winner: me with a 2-1



Round 3:



Me versus Mehmet



This guy has a very annoying deck. He has a splashed in spear dragon to try and deal some trample to my reapers. This round was pretty funny. Me getting him down to something like 800 lp and them him topdecking premature^^. Second match I cant remember or the third match all I remember was my sacred phoenix getting removed which annoyed me so cyber dragon and my chaos sorcerer had to jump in^^



Winner: me with I think 2-1



Round 4: Me versus Winston



He’s been trying to counter my deck for about 3 years or something now. First match I owned with the god hand. Second match my god hand died… I lost this one with some hits from warrior lady and some other annoying stuff. Round 3, this was the time to bust out my friends the tomato’s! I controlled him a bit with mystic tomato and then bringing out reapers, Good tribute fodder, I let him clear my field once and then stormed in with heavy storm, some cyber dragon, chaos sorcerer, and I remember a big blast from ceasefire to him aswell^^



Winner: me 2-1



Round 5: Me versus Tailor



The whole day my friend would constantly phone asking are you winning, and I would say yes! Im winning, since he couldn’t make it. He runs a a offensive chaos phoenix warrior deck^^. Well here I topped a 3-0 I had 2 spirit reapers out and I then cleared him with mobius. The last match was the best. I let him do a bit of damage since it was a 2-0 to me. He summons gravekeepers spear soldier does some damage and took out my f/d magician of faith. I bring back heavy storm. My turn, ok heavy storm, so long gravity bind and other annoying f/d threats. Now can you say cyber dragon? And thanks for destroying magician now I remove magician and tomato to bring out sorcerer and now its snatch steal and hand of nephthys. This match was pretty much game^^



Well my friend phones again and asked what happened, I come out with 5 out of 5 wins and the judge guy came round. I was meant to play a guy called Dino in final round who won one of the pharaohs tours and got a ancient gear golem. But I didn’t get to play him since they changed the pairings. Well I came in first with my friends in 3rd and 4th while Dino came in 2nd. It was pretty great and I got 3 RDS and 5 PSV boosters. They weren’t the ones I wanted but hey I pulled a super rare nobleman of crossout which went in my deck replacing my deck version one and a rare gravity bind and along with a super monster reincarnation which ill trade off. The day was pretty good.



Pros:

I came in 1st

I pulled some decent cards from boosters

It was pretty fun

They were selling D.D. warrior tp7!



Cons:

I didn’t get to play Dino

My friend kept phoning and annoying me

I didn’t have the £60.00 for the D.D. warrior they were selling…
