Flaming Eternity Sneak Preview Facts

By now, I’m sure you’re all excited about the Flaming Eternity Sneak Preview weekend. Over the past two weeks, we’ve been previewing some of the best cards in the set, and this weekend will be your first chance to get your hands on them. This is only the second set to feature Sneak Preview tournaments, so you may not know what to expect once you get there. There has been so much buzz created over this event that there’s a bit of misinformation going on, so I’d like to clarify a few points to ensure that everyone knows what’s up.

You get to keep your cards!

You get to bring them home! The best part of a Sneak Preview tournament is that you not only get to play with Flaming Eternity before it’s released, but you get to bring the new cards home and have them before anyone else does.

There are plenty of Sneak Preview tournaments across the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

If you want to find a Sneak Preview near you, it’s as easy as visiting www.yugiohpreview.com.

Get a free Cyber Harpie Lady!

This is a special promotional card that will be given out to players for free as they register. Make sure you show up early to guarantee you get to take one home, since supplies may be limited.

Two formats will be available: Open Dueling ($20) and Sanctioned Sealed Pack ($25).

With two different formats available, the Sneak Preview weekend caters to the casual and competitive player.

ˇ        In Open Dueling, each player receives five packs of Flaming Eternity and builds a 20-card deck from those cards. Then, players duel against each other with these decks, recording results on a registration card. Once a player completes five duels, he or she will receive another pack of Flaming Eternity. That’s six packs of the new set for $20! Players can enter an Open Duel as many times as they want.

ˇ        In Sanctioned Sealed Pack, each player builds a 20-card deck from the five Flaming Eternity packs he or she receives. Then, there is a Swiss-style tournament, with prizes awarded to the top finishers.

Some locations may offer Constructed tournaments

At some Sneak Preview events, Constructed tournaments may be available, with Flaming Eternity packs as prizes. To find out if this will be available at your local event, visit www.yugiohpreview.com and contact your local tournament organizer.

The Sneak Preview events for Rise of Destiny were huge, and Flaming Eternity should be even bigger. If you’re a Yu-Gi-Oh! player, there’s no doubt that these events are the place to be. Don’t miss out this time around!
