Latest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is Hobby Exclusive
El Segundo, CA – (May 27, 2009) – Following the extraordinary success of the original Gold Series released in 2008, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE) is pleased to announce the availability of Gold Series 2009, a hobby store exclusive due on shelves today.
The highly-anticipated Gold Series 2009 will include some of the most popular tournament-level card types including Monarchs and Six Samurai. The 50-card set will contain 18 Gold Rares including the highly sought after and hard to get “Dark Armed Dragon” and “Test Tiger.” In addition, previous SHONEN JUMP Championship tournament prize cards “Gold Sarcophagus” and “Des Volstgalph” will be included in each set as well as a long-time favorite “Sangan” available for the first time as a Gold Foil.
“Gold Series 2008 sold out before its release and we have no doubt that the Gold Series 2009 will do the same,” said Bob Caruana, Director of Sales for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “The content includes some of today’s most powerful cards; for the new player it’s a great jumping-off point to build a Monarch or Six Samurai Deck, and the more experienced player will be stoked by some of the most popular tournament-level cards like “Gold Sarcophagus” and “Dark Armed Dragon.”
Each box contains a 25-card pack that includes 22 common cards and three Gold Rares and retails for approximately $19.99. Display boxes include five such packs, with 10 display boxes per case.
