Weekend’s Events Include Dragon Duel Tournament for Younger

El
Segundo, Calif. (August 9, 2017) –
It’s time to Duel! Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
(KONAMI) is bringing the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS)
back to Canada this August, ushering in a new age of
competition in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG). The
summer might be drawing to a close but the action is only
heating up! Hundreds of Duelists from Canada and the United
States will show off their Deck-building skills and throw
down against their fellow Duelists, in a weekend-long
tournament August 26 – 27.
Every summer some of the greatest Duelists in North American
blow the roof off the Metro Toronto Convention Center, and
this year players in the YCS Toronto Main Event will be the
first to compete in a Championship-level tournament with new
cards from Starter Deck -Link Strike- and Code of
the Duelist, plus new Link Monsters and changes to the
official game rules that will redefine Dueling.
Those who triumph in the YCS will earn prizes befitting a
Champion: the winner will clinch their invite to compete in
their 2018 World Championship Qualifier with paid travel and
accommodations, as well as an Ultra Rare YCS Prize Card.
Top finishers will take home high-end gaming systems, as
well as Super Rare YCS Prize Cards for 2nd place
and 3rd place. The entire Top 16 will score
exclusive YCS Top Cut Game Mats as well, plus World
Qualifying Points, Ultimate Duelist Series Points, and
invitations to the 2018 World Championship Qualifier.
A
new era of competition brings with it legendary new rewards.
YCS Toronto will debut the new YCS Prize Card Number 89:
Diablosis the Mind Hacker!

other Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG products, Duelists can only collect

by finishing in the Top 3 of the Main Event at a YCS, or by
winning one of two special Public Events playoff tournaments
on Sunday. That makes

the ultimate prize for the world’s most competitive
Duelists.
