Alexis Rhodes
Alexis is perhaps the queen of the Obelisk Blue dorm, but
doesn't let meaningless titles dictate her dueling. Alexis
is one of the few Obelisk Blue students that doesn't tease
the Ra or Slifer students because of their rank, which would
explain why she shows great interest in Jaden. Alexis uses
her dancing cards to maneuver her way through any tough spot
during a duel. Alexis hopes to find her brother, Atticus,
who mysteriously disappeared from the abandoned dorm.

Alexis Rhodes
Alexis Rhodes (Tenjoin Asuka) is dubbed as the “queen” of
the Obelisk Blue dorm. She’s fifteen at the beginning of the
series. She’s normally very serious but can also be
light-hearted at times.
Her older brother, Atticus Rhodes (Tenjoin Fubuki) had
vanished for the past couple of years and she spends most of
the first season searching for him. She is often goes to the
pier and talks to Zane Truesdale (Ryou Marufuji) about her
worries and her missing brother.
Her two best friends are Mindy (Momoe) and Jasmine (Junko)
who often attempt to hook her up with a hot guy, though she
looks down at all these attempts.
Her overall calmness and exquisite beauty attracts a lot of
boys including two of the main characters—Syrus Truesdale (Shou
Marufuji) and Chazz Princeton (Jun Manjyome)—in addition to
quite a few secondary characters such as Harrington (Ayanokouji)
and Pierre (Mitsuo).
However, she firmly states that she’s only in love with
dueling and nothing else. Despite popular belief, has no
interest in Jaden and merely sees him as a friend. The two
do not share a special bond and are not romantically
infuriated with each other.
In the second season, Vice Principal Napoleon and Temporary
Principal Crowler (Chronos de Medici) both attempt to boost
the academy’s reputation by offering Alexis to be their
figurehead and donning her in a scanty red dress. Alexis,
being the attention-hating person she is, rejects this and
ends up moving In the Slifer Red dorms with Jaden and Chazz.
(Note: She still remains an Obelisk Blue.)
Shortly afterwards, Chazz gets brainwashed and Alexis
challenges him to a duel only to lose and be converted as
well. She has not left his side ever since until Chazz is
finally broken from his brainwashed state.
Alexis plays a ‘Cyber Sporty Girl’ deck and also runs a
series ‘Cyber Angel’ cards based of various Asian
mythological gods. A few of her combos are Doble Passe +
Etolie Cyber to bypass her opponent’s attack and inflict
1,700 damage and Hallowed Life Barrier + Fulfillment of
Contract to bring back Cyber Angel Dakini without having to
sacrifice monsters.
Some of her monsters are: Cyber Petite Angel, Cyber Prima,
Cyber Tutu, Cyber Gymnast, Blade Skater, Etolie Cyber, Cyber
Blader, Mind on Air, Cyber Angel Idaken, Cyber Angel Dakini,
and Cyber Angel Benten.
Some of her spells are: Angel Wing, Ritual of Machine Angel,
Church of Blessing, Pot of Greed, Warrior Returning Alive,
Fusion Recovery, Allegro Tool, Polymerization, Ritual
Weapon, Fusion Weapon, Fulfillment of Contract, Prima Light,
Monster Reborn, Raregold Armor, and Scapegoat.
Some of her traps are: Doble Passé, Hallowed Life Barrier,
Pure Pupil, and Angel Blast.
Alexis is actually one of the few people in the anime that
lacks character development. She also happens to be the only
actual female in the anime who lasts more than three
episodes. She exists as a token girl because if she didn't,
raging feminists would tear the producers of Yu-gi-oh GX
apart.
