Lyman Banner

Lyman is one of the teachers attached to the Slifer Red Dorm.  He seems very interested in Jaden.  We're not sure why yet though?  He just seems to do a lot of duel watching.

He runs an Alchemy-related Deck and gives Jaden the card that helps him defeat Kagemaru and the Sacred Beasts - -Zapspace

Professor Banner

Banner is the head of the Slifer Red dorms. He is usually seen hanging around with his cat Pharaoh and often seen teaching duel alchemy to his students. Though he is the head of the Slifer red dorms, the students of Duel Academy have yet to see him duel. Could there be more to Prof. Banner than what is known about him by the rest of Duel Academy - by HevyMtalKing

Lyman Banner
Later revealed as the Shadow Rider Amnael, he dueled Jaden to determine if he is good enough to duel Kagimaru. Just before both of his bodies crumbles, he gives his book to Jaden for safe keeping, hiding The Philosopher's Stone magic card so Jaden can use it against Kagimaru. Immediately after dissintegrating, Banner's ever faithful cat Pharoah swallows his spirit, reappearing later to instruct Jaden on how to use the card.
