YuGiOh Episode Guide

Episode Guide - Dungeon Dice Monsters, Part 2

Duke changes the Duel Ring into a sort of game board for his game of Dungeon
Dice Monsters with Yugi, and explains the rules. Each player rolls three
dice at the start of their turn. They stock the crests they get in their
crest pool to use them. There can be Movement Crests, Attack Crests, Defence
Crests, Magic Crests and Trap Crests. There is also a star on each dice
which is needed to summon monsters. You need to roll two dice of the same
level (Each dice has its own level, written beside the star) and get the
star to summon.

Instead of 2000 Life Points, Players have 3 Heart Points. The aim is to move
your monsters across the board with Movement Crests, using the Attack and
Defence Crests for battle along the way, and the Magics and Traps provide
special effects with some monsters. Once you get to the other player you can
attack their Heart Points. Each attack takes one point no matter what.

When a player summons a monster, they build a path with it. Monsters require
paths to walk on. Paths cannot overlap and must start at the player. You
cannot build a path anywhere, it must be connected to another path. (Duke
doesn't list all these rules off, I found them from a site)

Duke gets to summon on his first turn. Yugi tries to summon, but he cannot
match up the levels of his dice. Duke summons again on his next turn,
further extending his path. Yugi rolls again, but once again fails. He is
stocking up on crests, but they are useless unless he can summon. Duke
continues to summon and build his path nearer and nearer to Yugi's Heart
Points. Finally, Yugi manages to match up and summons a Wizard.

As luck would have it, he summons a second time on his next turn. However
Duke still has the upper hand and destroys his new monster. As the trash
talk goes back and forth, Duke decides to tell Yugi why he wants him to give
up his title. He spent years perfecting his Dungeon Dice Monsters game, and
finally Pegasus agreed to produce the game, once he was done with the
Duelist Kingdom Tournament. But now that he is gone, DDM will never go into
production. Duke then breaks through and takes out one Heart Point.
