Episode #80 - Lights, Camera, Duel

After parking her car near the stadium, Mai Valentine, Yugi, Joey, and the rest are walking to the stadium itself when they pass a billboard featuring the ninja actor Jeane Claude Magnum. As they are about to pass, a limo comes

through the board and Magnum himself steps out! He comes out and offers Mai a wedding ring, but she brushes him off. He says that she dueled and defeated him a long time ago and he asked again and also was refused. He also says that she told him to come back when he could beat her in a duel.
To get him to leave, Mai challenges him. His deck, as expected, is composed mainly of ninja monsters. Though Mai dishes out an Amazon onslaught, she is unable to hold back his ninjas. However, she calls out her Harpy Lady Sisters and takes him down. Suddenly, Joey notices that one of the ninjas didn't disappear. It turns out that a Hollywood actor used special effects to disguise himself as a monster. He captures Mai with a net, and Magnum drives off, with Joey in hot pursuit. Magnum stops so he can grab Mai, but she struggles and falls from the actor's grasp-only to land on Joey. Leaving

Magnum slumped by his limo, Mai heads towards the stadium with her friends, leaving the actor a crippling message: that Joey is a better man than him.
