Episode #90 - Mind Game 1

After Joey and co. put Odion in his room to recover, he tells them about his

dream. Mai asks if she was in it, and he lies and says not. She feels miffed, and goes back to her solo attitude from Duelist Kingdom. In the lottery, her number is chosen, and she leaves without seeing who her opponent is. Marik, now completely evil, is about to send Odion to the Shadow Realm when Roland broadcasts that he will be dueling Mai. The duel begins, and Marik whips out a few old cards from his Rare Hunters including Revival Jam and Desgardius. After taking control of a monster with Digardius's effect, he takes the duel to the Shadow Realm. Mai destroys the brainwashed monster, and Marik reveals the stakes of the duel. Each monster represents the memory of a person from their past, and when it is destroyed the memory is gone. Since it was Mai's monster, her memory of Tea fades to the point where she can't even see her friend. Marik says that she will soon

lose her mind.
