Arkana

       Arkana used to be a magician with his girlfriend(Cathryn) but he didn't make when trying to perform his famous aerial fire toss. Cathryn dies in the fire, and Arkana's face burns. After losing Cathryn, he searches the world for some thing that could bring her out(just like Pegasus' story). When he gets to Egypt he meets Marik, and he tells him if to defeat Yugi in a duel and retrieve his millienium puzzle. So Arkana heads to the Battle City Tournament with Marik. Arkana has many dark magician cards in his deck. He faces Yugi but loses. After the duel Marik sends Arkana to the shadow realm. - SBORZOO

Arkana is one of Marik's rarehunters. He uses a Black magician deck against Yugi, but falls to Yugi's Black Magician Girl. It's apparent he has some female trouble, but I'm very vague on it.

Another Rare Hunter duelist with incredible "smoke and mirrors" talent, Arcana, a masked magician, challenges Yami Yugi too a duel with high-stakes. Both duelists are locked to the ground by huge iron shackles and forced to duel with their minds set as the ultimate prize.

Spinning just feet from both are deadly weapons called "dark energy disks," which obliterate ones mind and sends it to the Shadow Realm with but a single touch. With this in mind and Arcana already incredibly confident, the duel begins.

Arcana's deck was put together by Marik to specifically counter the cards in Yugi's deck, meaning many magic cards and powerful monster cards. But the pride of Arcana's deck are two sinister-looking Dark Magician cards. Yugi also has one but the fact is that they are very rare and very powerful.

The first episode in a three-part series begins with Arcana, dressed like a clown, leading Yugi into a tent where a secret dueling arena is held. The battle begins completely in Yugi's favor, giving him a huge life point advantage with a single blast by his Dark Magician.

However, the duel is far from over, and during the next two episodes, it seems like Arcana will
ultimately come out the victor. His intentions are also revealed. He was once a very famous,
world-renowned magician who was badly disfigured in a stage act gone horribly wrong. His one true love and also his assistant, Katherine, wanted to stay by his side during his recovery but Arcana was so grief-stricken at the thought that his career was over, he drove her away.

While the entirety of the duel is fought between each other's Dark Magician, Yugi eventually comes out on top with the help of a "different kind" of Dark Magician, then shown as the Dark Magician Girl. The card gains power for each Dark Magician in either Graveyard, a concept unfathomable to Arcana, and after destroying his second evil Dark Magician, wipes out the remainder of Arcana's life points.

After the duel is over and Arcana is mere inches away from being sent to the Shadow Realm, Yugi unlocks himself from his restraints then retrieves Arcana's secondary key, unlocking him as well and saving his life.

It isn't known what happens to Arcana after that but after being temporarily possessed by Marik's
Millennium Rod, it is likely that he gave up dueling and went to repiece his shattered life. Who knows? Maybe he and Katherine have sense been reunited.
