Alexis stares at the abandoned dorm, thinking about her
missing brother. Meanwhile, in the Slifer dorm, Cyrus, Jaden
and Chumley are playing a game where you have to tell a
ghost story and it has to be as scary as the level of the
Duel Monsters card you draw. Cyrus’ story is about him
looking in a lake and seeing the Dark Magician card, but is
grabbed by some creature and pulled into the lake. However,
his ghost story is not very scary for Jaden yet it scares
Chumley. Jaden’s story is how he hears voices from another
room, but no one is ever there except his cards. Professor
Banner decides he wants to play, and he draws a level 12
monster. His story is about the abandoned dorm and how some
students have gone missing. Cyrus tells Jaden and Chumley
how he found an abandoned building in the forest. Outside
the door, Dr. Crowler is scheming up a plan for the three
boys. The Shadow Duelist is in the middle of defeating some
guy and sending his mind to the shadow realm when he gets a
call……
Back in Professor Banner’s class, Jaden and Cyrus are once
again sleeping. That night, Dr. Crowler meets with the
Shadow Duelist. Crowler asks the Shadow Duelist to scare
Jaden so much that he will want to leave the academy for
good. Jaden, Cyrus, and Chumley are wandering through the
woods when they find the abandoned dorm. Alexis shows up,
scaring the three of them. Alexis lets the boys know that
her brother is one of the students that went missing. This
makes Jaden want to go into the dorm, and while Alexis
watches from afar, the shadow duelist appears behind Alexis,
causing her to scream. When she wakes up, she discovers that
she has been tied up and put into a coffin as bait for Jaden.
A bright golden light shines and again Alexis screams. Jaden
hears this and rushes off to find Alexis. Jaden runs into
the Shadow Duelist and is challenged to a Shadow Game.
The Shadow Duelist says that the only way to get Alexis back
is to win the Shadow Game. Jaden accepts the conditions and
the game begins. The Shadow Duelist goes first, and summons
Infernal Queen Archfiend, meaning every archfiend monster
gains 1000 ATK points. He then plays the Spell card
Pandemonium, so he does not have to pay life points to keep
archfiends on the field, and he can summon another one if
they are destroyed outside the battle phase. Jaden summons
Elemental Hero Avian in attack mode and places two cards
face down. The Shadow Duelist plays Terrorking Archfiend in
ATK mode (2000 atk) which gets a boost to 3000 atk because
of Infernal Queen Archfiend. Terrorking Archfiend attacks
Elemental Hero Avian, but Jaden activates Mirror Gate,
causing the monsters to switch places on the field. The
Shadow Duelist uses the Terrorking’s special ability, which
allows the Shadow Duelist to negate an effect targeted at
the Terrorking Archfiend if a 2 or a 5 comes up in a random
number roulette. The number two comes up, so Mirror Gate is
negated and destroyed. Elemental Hero Avian is destroyed,
but Jaden plays Hero Signal allowing him to summon another
elemental hero to the field. Jaden picks Elemental hero
Clayman in defense mode. The Shadow Duelist then flashes his
millennium puzzle, causing parts of Jaden’s body to
disappear and making the air harder to breathe. Jaden plays
Pot of Greed, drawing two cards. He then fuses Sparkman and
Clayman to summon Elemental Hero Thunder Giant. Jaden
attempts to use Thunder Giant’s special ability to destroy
the Terrorking Archfiend. Unfortunately, the SD uses the
number ability again, getting a 5 and negating Thunder
Giant’s ability and destroys it. Jaden has no monsters and
seems to be out of options…..
