fellow Pojo.com writers and Card Of The Day reviewers
trying to help me improve my articles!
So, following up on some recent, you guessed it...Advice, I was told not to delete my inbox, that way, if I delete your Email, You will keep sending in the same deck over and over again! Well, for now on, I'm not deleting the decks, I'm going to keep your deck in my inbox, and soon, it will be your turn get your deck fixed! So just send it in once, that's all it takes! Well, lets get onto the fix all right? Today I have a zombie deck coming in from Matt, Matt sent us this email... Deck Name: Rise of the Living Dead Creator: Matt C. Deck Archetype: Zombie Number of Cards: 44 Info about me: Well, what can I say? I'm a average duelist who plays to win but also for fun. I am somewhat reserved when I duel but if I see an opening, I'm all over you like stink on a hog! But enough about me, lets get on with the deck: Monsters: 18 [2] Vampire Lord [2] Ryu Kokki [1] Jinzo [2] Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer [1] D.D. I'm planning on using it at Regionals in May so I have a while to get the cards you might suggest for it. I hope you have fun with it! P.S. I don't like the 40 card limit so could you keep it between 41-44? Thanks again! Well, Its already a very nice deck, But I see things that I could take out and add in already! So lets get down to the monsters... So lets look at the original build... Monsters: 18 [2] Vampire Lord [2] Ryu Kokki [1] Jinzo [2] Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer [1] D.D. Warrior Lady [3] Pyramid Turtle [3] Spirit Reaper [2] Magician of Faith [1] Sangan [1] Exiled Force Now, the tributes are ok, I'm not a straight up zombie expert like some other well known article writers on this site (JAELOVE comes to mind), but I will do my best to fix this deck! I want to drop the kycoos, I just don't like them and never did, I can see better choices, also, 3 Reapers seems like over kill to me, I'm going to drop one, 2 Magician Of Faith seem fine, as in today's metagame, everyone runs them, for a good reason to! So its... -Kycoo -Kycoo -Spirit Reaper And to that I'm going to add in 3 monsters, I see some very good choices... +Breaker the Magical Warrior +Tribe Infecting Virus +Sinister Serpent So the new line up looks like this... Spells: 18 [2] Book of Life [2] Book of Moon [2] Creature Swap [1] Graceful Charity [1] Giant Trunade [1] Heavy Storm [1] United We Stand [1] Pot of Greed [1] Premature Burial [1] Swords of Revealing Light [1] Scapegoat [2] Nobleman of Crossout [1] Mystical Space Typhoon [1] Snatch Steal Hmmm, it seems Ok, but I have my reasons for doing this... -United We Stand -Giant Trunade +Delinquent Duo +Metamorphosis Some people may doubt a single Morph, but I ran one at my last regionals and did very well, winning every match except for 2 times, where I scooped twice for friends... So the new line up looks like this... Five traps, lets pick 'em out! [1] Mirror Force [1] Ring Of Destruction [1] Call Of The Haunted [1] Torrential Tribute [2] Bottomless Trap Hole But wait, that's...6 Traps, but remember, Matt wanted atleast 41 cards! Final Deck: 41 Card {17} Monsters [2] Vampire Lord [2] Ryu Kokki [1] Jinzo [1] Breaker the Magical Warrior [1] Tribe Infecting Virus [1] D.D. Well, Matt, I stuck with Matt's request, kept the deck to his preferred play style, and kept it at the manageable size of 41 cards, that's it for this article guys, until next time...
