Hello readers!
Welcome back to my Deck Garage! I'm very sorry about my
leap of absence, the recent Shonen Jump tournament in
Houston, Texas occupied a large amount of my energy and
time! I met people like JAELOVE there as well as Hugo
Adame, it was a great honor to meet Team Savage in real
life, they are truly cool people.
While looking through my Inbox I seen a burn deck, the
sender was obviously desperate for some help with his
budget burn deck, so I am here doing your deck, Andrew!
Here is what he sent in...
Hi all readers, my name is Andrew and I'm 13 years
old and I've been to one
tourney and lost in the 1st round. This is my version of
a lockdown burn. I
am not really competitive in tourneys obviously but I'm
hoping with your
help, Rj, that I can be. I'm not very aggressive in
attacking but I'm pretty
aggressive when burning. I know my deck is a little
outdated but I'm on a
very tight budget so try not to suggest too many rare
cards. Any help would
definetley be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Here it is
(Advanced Format):

Now, the deck is quite unorganized, but with my
help, you should have a pretty good burn deck Andrew!
First off, the monsters are just not that good, I'm
going to go ahead and make this your new monster line
up...
Monsters x17
Des Koala x3
Stealth Bird x3
Lava Golem x2
Spirit Reaper x2
Sinister Serpent x1
Sangan x1
Solar Flare Dragon x3
Magician Of Faith x2
You have a lot of burn options here, Des Koala is great
because when playing burn, your opponent will most
likely have a lot of cards in his hand, so nicking off
1600 life off of just one koala is not that rare of an
occurrence, also, when you look at his 1800 defense,
what is commonly played that will get around that? The
rest are pretty much staple burn monsters...IMO...
Lets do the magic's now, magic's are the biggest part of
a stall deck, IMO. You need protection, but not to much,
lets look at my build...
Magic's x15
Wave Motion Cannon x3
Level Limit Area B x2
Messenger Of Peace x2
Card Destruction x1
Pot Of Greed x1
Graceful Charity x1
Delinquent Duo x1
Smashing Ground x2
Scapegoat x2
Now you may disagree with the Delinquent Duo, but when I
played my burn, when they were topdecking against a wave
motion cannon with 4 counters, a spirit reaper, and a
stealth bird, it was good game for them.
Onto the traps, this is pretty straight forward...
Traps x8
Gravity Bind x2
Ring Of Destruction x1
Magic Cylinder x1
Mirror Force x1
Torrential Tribute x1
Ceasefire x1
Secret Barrel x1
Yes, I had one more spot and decided to sorta use a
single Secret Barrel, hey, its burn, it can work, lol. I
like this deck a lot, but the problem still stands, side
decks MURDER these types of decks. So that's why, I am
going to show you, in my opinion, one of the best burn
side decks out there...
Mask of Restrict x3
Seven Tools of The Bandit x2
Horn of Heaven x2
Scapegoat x1
Chain Disappearance x2
Lava Golem x1
Solemn Judgment x2
Dark Door x1
Swords of Revealing Light x1
The Mask take care of them siding in Lava Golems on YOU,
the Seven Tools are there for Dust Tornado, Horn Of
Heavens are for Mobius and even Mystic Swordsman LV2.
Scapegoat is there to help out horns, Chain is for when
they side in Swarm Of Locust/Scarabs. Solemns are for
extra negation, and the rest is just extra stall etc.
This side deck was created by SKAKIXIK from Team
Ignition, from Pojo Forums and Rebel Forums, thanks man!
Well, that's it for today's deck fix, come back later in
the week for another healthy dose of fixing!
