Rj's Deck Garage
Welcome back the good 'ole
garage! I am back today with a very interesting
deck. It's a Monarch Deck! Monarch Decks have been
around since...oh I don't know...Soul Of The
Duelist? But now they are better then ever because
of even more great monarchs to choose from. Before
we just had Zaborg The Thunder Monarch, and then
Mobius The Frost Monarch, both of these monarchs,
are, in my opinion, the best.
The first Monarch deck I have heard of, on the record was made by Pojo's own Tourney Report Writer, RegnR8. I vaguely remember emailing RegnR8 a few times to give suggestions on his version of the Monarch Deck, some of which he used! So, me fixing this reader's monarch deck, kinda feels like a legacy ;D. Our good friend Jean sent it in, let's check out his email! Hey there, Deck list: monsters: 20 Mobius the frost monarch Zaborg the thunder monarch Granmarg the rock monarch Thestalos the firestorm monarch Jinzo Luster dragon Exiled force Goblin attack force Berserk gorilla Night assailant Cyber Jar Mad dog of darkness x3 Magician of faith Archfiend soldier Spear dragon x3 Gemini elf Spells: 12 Axe of despair Nobleman of crossout x2 Heavy storm Swords of revealing light Monster reincarnation Tribute to the doomed Graceful charityPot of greed Mystical space typhoon Snatch steal Premature Burial Traps: 8 Seven tools of the bandit Magic jammer Widespread ruin Sakuretsu armor Dust tornado Magic cylinder Call of the haunted Torrential Tribute Format: Advanced Strategy: Monarch beatdown About me: My name is Jean (its pronounced John) and I'm 17 years old. I've been playing the yu~gi~oh! TCG since it first came out. The way I play the game is very aggressive, I show my opponent no mercy unless they are my friend. I don't like to yell or get to over confident when I duel. I don't like to discriminate good duelists from the bad ones...I consider them all to be the same( like everybody knows...you may have the suckiest deck in the world but it doesn't matter...its how you use it). If you want to know more about me, IM me on SmileOfOblivion ( that's my Aim screen name). Well there Jean, you have a nice deck to model off of, Monarch decks are always fun to use, I know that, and I already have many ideas on how to fix this deck, so lets hop to... Monsters x17 Well, that's the monsters. As you can see, the deck opens strongly with cards like Mystic Tomato, which is in 2's here, Spirit Reaper, and D.D. Warrior Lady just to name a few. We have Morphing Jar and Night Assailant (x2) in the deck, which, if played by a skilled hand, will provide you with overwhelming amounts of resources. Magics x17
Pot Of Greed
Graceful Charity
Delinquent Duo
Nobleman Of Crossout
x2
Smashing Ground
Snatch Steal
Premature Burial
Mystical Space Typhoon
Heavy Storm
Scapegoat x2
Metamorphosis x2
Book Of Moon x2
Card Destruction
This is a VERY nice Magic lineup for the deck, we have all the usual baddies, Pot, Graceful, Duo. Along with a lone Smashing Ground, one seems good, seeing as how we have a lot of monster removal already in the monster and trap line-up. I supplied the deck with 2 Scapegoat's, and then 2 MetaMorphosis to abuse them. We have a large number of Level 1 monsters, and don't forget Zaborg, who will fetch you a nice Dark Balter The Terrible. Last but not least, Mobius The Frost Monarch will bring out a Ryu Senshi, which, in my opinion, is am alittle superior to Balter in this format.
Traps x6
Mirror Force
Torrential Tribute
Call Of The Haunted
Ring Of Destruction
Sakuretsu Armor x2
So, now the deck is completed. This line-up looks rather pricey, with the Morphing Jar, and the Royal Decree, but let us not forget about gods gift to Yugioh, Dark Beginnings 2. Oh how rentsy Reprint Sets are ;). That's it for today, I thank the readers for reading my articles, and Jean for sending in his deck today for me to fix! If you have any questions or comments, you know where to send 'em! -Rj PS: I also thank my readers who don't support the lies and rumors that are cycling around about me.
