Tuesday - White Hole
Today's COTD is White Hole. It's a normal trap
that
saves your monsters from dark hole.
This card is basically the counter to dark hole.
As
you all know, dark hole is restricted to 1.
You
should take every chance you get at negating a
restricted card right? Well, if drawn and
played at
the right time, white hole can be extremely
effective,
but it's a much better choice to go with magic
jammer
instead. Magic jammer, in addition to being
able to
stop dark hole, can also stop any other magic card,
making it more versatile.
But this card does have 1 thing over magic jammer.
If
you play white hole, all opponent's monsters will
die
while yours are saved. But if you think about
it, how
often does the opponent play dark hole when his
field
is full of monsters? Not very often. So
therefore
magic jammer is really the better choice. The
1 card
discard requirement is a small price to pay.
I give it 2/5. It's just not worth it to play
other
magic negating cards other than magic jammer as it
takes up too much space.
