Genju of the
Falls
This is my favorite Genju land enchantment from
Betrayers of Kamigawa, and the only one that I
feel is equally good in limited and constructed
play. In the current limited format, Genju of
the Falls gives blue (already a reasonable color
to play with black or red and even white) an
evasive creature that's hard to get rid of. In
constructed, this card could give a creatureless
control deck a solid win condition that is
difficult to deal with.

Genju of the
Falls
While it's easy to say "this is no Faerie
Conclave," it is, at least in one way, better.
If someone toasts the land, this card will come
back, and that does indeed make it better in
many ways. But is it really the card you need?
Its down the middle for me. I'd take it and play
it, but I wouldn't actively push it for draft or
limited. In constructed, I'd love to see a
control deck that can play this guy, only time
will tell.

3/4 Genju of
the Falls
This card is decent. I have two problems with it
though. Blue likes it's lands. Blue likes to
leave it's mana open. My second problem is that
the Red and Green genjus are a lot better. But
it's still not bad.

I have fallen
in love with all the Genju and, while Genju of
the Falls isn’t the best of the bunch, it is
simply a great card. Come on, it is a solid
cheap creature that is immune to Sorceries and
comes back from the dead, plus evasion. Sign me
up. Seriously, what is bad about this card? Sure
you make your Islands more vulnerable but it is
only one land and you get to decide when to take
the risk. Seriously, get on board with the Genju
– perfect examples of why good solid cards are
still more exciting than bombs.

Genju of the
Falls --
Some of you may already know this, but there are
very few enchant [permanent] cards that I like.
I require those that I play to have an
additional ability that either a) gives me a
huge boost (such as Armadillo Cloak) or b) stops
my opponent from 2-for-1ing my cards (such as
Rancor). Genju of the Falls returns if the
Island it is attached to would be sent to the
graveyard from play, therefore it meets the
second requirement.
I actually think all of the Genjus are decent,
and I especially like the fact that Genju of the
Falls turns into a larger creature with flying,
as opposed to Faerie Conclaves 2/1 body.
In limited play, if I am playing Islands in my
deck, Genju of the Falls has an extremely good
shot of making the cut. My deck has to be
stellar to ignore the potential of a cheap
flier.

Genju of the
Falls
The Genjus have all been an extremely popular
pick from our Website, so I think that a lot of
people love this and the other Genju cards. A
3/2 flyer is pretty damn good, and with the
Genju ability of coming back to your hand, this
thing will be a real pain in the arse for any
opponent. Look for the Genjus popping up on
casual play fields everywhere. One in every
color makes it fun for any deck.
