Friday, November 24, 2006  We'll finish off Cybernetic Revolution Week with a two-fer taking the day off yesterday for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Our Cards of the Day are Cybernetic Magician and Mechanical Hound.  Otaku, EMoD, Ryoga, Tebezu and DeathJester all  have something to say.

LA man pleads guilty to trying to sell fake Yu-Gi-Oh cards - A 37-year-old man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of attempting to sell counterfeit Yu-Gi-Oh! cards that were estimated to be worth $1 million, authorities said.  Luis Alfonso Lopez Canche of Los Angeles pleaded guilty in federal court to a felony count of attempted trafficking in counterfeit goods. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $2 million when he is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 12. In March 2005, Lopez met with the agents and agreed to sell them 115,000 decks of counterfeit playing cards, authorities said. A search warrant served on a business in Vernon where Lopez worked turned up cards worth about $1.1 million. Authorities said it was the largest amount of counterfeit Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards ever recovered. - full story
