If you want to help, send us Bios for any character you
want. But, if there's already a lot for that character
(like Yugi), we probably won't post it. Feel free to
Bios for newer characters, or to update existing
Bios.
"The
manga version of Yu-Gi-Oh! in the USA uses the Japanese
names for many of the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters.
Here are the major characters which have different names
in the manga:
*Yugi Moto is Yugi Mutou
*Yami Yugi is Dark Yugi (a translation of Yami no Y{gi)
a.k.a. Yu-Gi-Oh
*Joey Wheeler is Katsuya Jonouchi (in the manga)
*Tia Gardner is Anzu Mazaki
*Tristan Taylor is Hiroto Honda
*Grandpa (Solomon Moto) is Sugoroku Mutou
*Serenity Wheeler is Shizuka Kawai
*Mai Valentine is Mai Kujaku
However, "Maximillion Pegasus" is used in the English
manga (the guy's name in the Japanese manga and French
manga is "Pegasus J. Crawford)
As for minor characters:
*Weevil Underwood is "Insector" Haga
*Rex Raptor is "Dinosaur" Ryuzaki
*Mako Tsunami is Ryota Kajiki
*Bonz is "Ghost" Kotsuzuka
(this list is not exhaustive, as the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist"
series is still being published in the USA!)
These names should be right next to the anime names on
the character pages.
And to explain the "funny name" thing, Yu-Gi-Oh! (y{git)
means "King of Games" in Japanese.
